Tyrant Goatgaldrakona are a band from Hungary that plays a mixture of war, black, and death metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "Horns In The Dark" which was released as a joint effort between Caverna Abismal Records and Neverheard Distro.
A very fast, raw and brutal war metal sound starts off the album along with a great amount of blast beats as well as some bestial growls and the music also incorporates a lot of morbid sounding melodies while the solos and lead are done in a very chaotic fashion and the music is rooted in the 90's style of extreme metal.
Elements of doom/death metal can be heard in the slower sections of the songs and the tracks also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and you can also hear Swedish influences in some of the riffing and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that ar present on the recording and as the album progresses black metal screams can be heard in certain sections of some of the songs and the album remains very heavy and brutal from beginning to ending of the recording.
Tyrant Goargaldrakona plays a musical style that takes war and death metal and mixes them together with some black metal influences to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very raw and old school while the lyrics cover Occultism and Darkness themes.
In my opinion Tyrant Goargaldrakona are a very great sounding mixture of war, black, and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Thief Of Lies" "Horns In The Dark" "Arcanum Secretum" and "Legions Of Styx". 8/5 out of 10.
