Turin Turambar are a band from Poland that plays a very experimental form of black metal and this is a review of their 2010 album "Corona Regine Satanae" which was released by Ataman Productions.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being thrown into the music at times, while the bass playing has a very strong and powerful with progressive riffing that dominates throughout the recording.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very raw and primitive sounding at times while adding some influences from doom and death metal as well as experimental avant garde music with some distorted dark melodies to create their own style of dark metal while the lead guitars when they are utilized are very distorted sounding avant garde black metal guitar leads that dont really turn into solos.
Vocals are mostly deep grim and hateful sounding black metal screams that are mixed down in the mix, soem deep death metal growls and a brief use of clean singing avant garde vocals in addition there are some spoken word parts, while the lyrics are written in Polish and cover dark themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it while you can still hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Turin Turambar are a very great sounding experimental avant garde black metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Drugi Dom Os" "Deszcz II" "Czarny Pies" and "Prokreacja Niebytu" which is a Polish version of Celtic Frost's "Procreation Of The Wicked. RECOMMENDED BUY.
