A very heavy guitar sound starts off the album before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats while you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording while the vocals are all high pitched black metal screams.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the solos and leads are done in a very melodic fashion and deep growls are also used at times along with some of the tracks being very long and epic in length and clean playing can also be heard in certain sections of the recording and as the album progresses clean singing can also be heard briefly and they also introduce epic sounding synths on an interlude before returning back to a heavier direction.
On this recording Diktatur goes for more of a straight forward and raw approach to the aggressive style of black metal, the production sounds very powerful while the lyrics are written in French cover horror, brutality, death and damnation themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Diktatur and if you are a fan of raw and aggressive black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Foudroye" "Dernier Soupir" "Valsa Macabre" and "Revanche". 8 out of 10.
