Berg Djavulen are a band from Michigan that plays a very raw and primitive form of satanic anti christian black metal and this is a review of t heir 2006 ep "Into The Darkness".
Drums are mostly absent from this recording with the music concentrating more on vocals, bass and guitars, while the bass playing has a very strong and powerful sound with heavy and primitive riffing that dominates throughout the recording.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very raw and primitive sounding along with a great amount of noisy distortion being thrown into the riffing, while the lead guitars when they are utilized are very raw and primitive sounding black metal guitar solos and leads.
Vocals a re mostly high pitched black metal screams with some deep growls being used at times, while the lyrics cover Satanism and Anti Christian themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Berg Djavulen are a very great sounding heavy, raw and primitive anti christian satanic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this e.p. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Invoked" and "Hacking Off The Limbs Of Christ". RECOMMENDED BUY.
