Minenwerfer are a band from Sacramento, California that plays a very heavy, brutal, raw and primitive form of war/black metal and this is a review of their self released 2007 demo "Kaiserreich".
Drum programming ranges from slow, mid paced to fast beats, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars and at times they have a very powerful sound to them.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast heavy, brutal, raw and primitive sounding riffs that combine war and black metal together to create a sound of their own with some thrash elements being thrown into the riffing, while the lead guitars are very chaotic sounding war metal guitar solos and leads.
Vocals a re all grim sounding war/black metal s creams, while the lyrics cover satanism, violence and war themes, as for the production it has a very heavy, brutal, raw and primitive sound to it while you can still hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Minenwerfer are a very great sounding heavy, brutal, raw and primitive black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Iron Cross" and "Vomit In My Gasmask". RECOMMENDED BUY.
