Nostoi/2011 Demo Review

  Nostoi  are  a  band  from  Greece  that  plays  a  raw  and  primitive  form  of  ns  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2011  demo.

  Drums  range  from  slow, mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  some  blast  beats  being  present on  this  recording,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  are  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

  Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  black  metal  riffs  that  are  very  dark, r aw  and  primitive  sounding  with  some  RAC  elements  being  utilized  at  times  in  the  riffing  as  well  as  some  melody  and  there  are  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present  on  this  recording.

  Vocals  are  mostly  grim  sounding  black  metal  screams  with  some  deep  growls  being  utilized  at  times,  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Greek  and  cover  national  socialism  topics,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it.

  In  my  opinion   Nostoi  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw  and  primitive  ns  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should c heck  out  this  demo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE   "Track 1 and IV".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
