Gotmoor/Vlaemsche Premitieven/150666 Releases/2000 CD Compilation Review

Gotmoor are a band from Belgium that plays a a very raw and primitive form of atmospheric black metal and this is a review of their 2000 demo compilation album "Vlaemsche Premitieven" which was released by 150666 Releases.

Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a good amount of blast beats being thrown into the music, while the keyboards bring a very dark and atmospheric sound to the music and on one of the intros and outros they utilize a part that has a very avant garde/experimental feeling, as for the playing it has a very strong and powerful tone with primitive riffing that dominates throughout the recording.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very dark, raw and primitive sounding mixed in with some dark melodies along with a brief use of clean playing and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording.

Vocals are a mixture of grim sounding and high pitched black metal screams, while the lyrics are written in Belgian and cover Trolls and Flemish History, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.

In my opinion Gotmoor are a very great sounding raw and primitive atmospheric black metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Vlaamsch Verdriet" "Ten Strijde" "Order Den Eglantier" and "De Witte Dame". RECOMMENDED BUY.
