De L' enfer Interview

1. Can you tell us a little bit about the band for those that have never heard of you before?
ans) we r De L'enfer and we make raw,primitive,fucked up black metal music , lysetdod cant be here because he doesnt give interviews, so its just me

2. How would you describe your musical sound?
ans) well we would describe our sound as something that was made in hell and then sent to us in the form of a blessing from satan,something that was created in some other dimension..

3. What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?
ans) we explore and exploit darkness, we delve into occult and black magic, we write about carnage and war, about the apocalypse..

4. What is the meaning and inspiration behind the bands name?
ans) de l'enfer is french for 'from hell', the inspiration behind the name is the constant darkness that me and lysetdod r so inspired from ,the thirst in our hearts to attain occult and supernatural powers and abilities,to learn and dig into unknown cults and dark arts etc

5. Currently there are only 2 members in the band, are you planning on expanding the line up in the future?
ans) haha no, de l'enfer would always be me and lysetdod

6. The last release came out on Achtung! Records? can you tell us a little bit more about this label?
ans) the demo came out simultaneously in two labels actually in two different formats, achtung released it on tape while depressive illusions released it on cd, achtung records is really a truely awesome record label,its really underground,it has an air of mystery around it,totally perfect for de l'enfer, hailz to achtung records \m/

7. On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black metal?
ans) well i was checking on google about de l'enfer and so far the reception has been good,its already put up on many blogsites and net labels by fans and some people have even reviewed it,and the reviews are quite cool, i feel the feedback has been good

8. What is going on with the other musical projects these days?
ans) you mean my other projects right? well they are going great, focusing a bit on my one-man post black metal band The End nowadays , even lysetdod is kinda busy with his other projects too

9. What direction do you see your music heading into on future releases?
ans) i think we are going to be much rawer and lo-fi, we are gonna go total enkil,beherit etc path u know,i think its gonna be great in future,we r gonna bathe in blood haha

10. What are some bands or musical styles that have influenced your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
ans) a lot of raw black metal bands inspired us,hmm mostly the french scene u kno, bands like peste noire (early demos), belketre,torgeist,darvulia,vlad tepes and many more and many other european bands and also some cool bands from USA, like enkil, etc , and nowadys im listening to mostly shoegaze like slowdive etc haha,im really swimming in this genre right now at this moment

11. The band is from India, are there any other black metal bands out there that you would recommend?
ans) i would recommend the band CRY to u,it was quite nice,but too bad its no more,its split up now..

12. How would you describe your views on Occultism and Satanism?
ans) well im a theistic satanist,and im a novice,i did the dedication ritual in march 2012,it was really a very sublime and pure experience,i just wana say that god is an asshole,trust me,believe me its true, put ur faith on lucifer,he doesnt want any sacrifices or donations or meditations from u,all he wants is your faith in him and your respect and honour towards him then u would c that nobody can stop u in achieving your goals in life,so fuck god,and hail satan \m/

13. Outside of music what are some of your interests?
ans) i love drawing and painting,i make logos and artworks for bands for free, and i also love photography,writing stories,reading books,i make short films too and lots of other stuff

14. Any final words or thoughts before we wrap up this interview?

Cancer/Cemaprna Kpblnbr/Lugburz Sleed/Constation -Hebephrenia/Rigorism Productions/2010 SPlit Album Review

This is a review of a 3 way split between Ukraine's Cancer, Lugburz Sleed and Russia'a Cemaprna Kpblnbr called "Constation - Hebephrenia" which was released by Rigorism Productions in 2010 and we will start of the review with Cancer a band that plays a very depressive form of black metal.

Drums range from slow to mid paced playing with no fast playing or blast beats being present on their side of the recording, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars range from slow to mid paced depressive black metal that use some raw and primitive elements as well as some dark sounding melodies in the riffing and there are no guitar solos or leads present on their side of the recording.

Vocals are all suicidal black metal screams and cries, while the lyrics cover suicidal and depressive themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it with the last song being long and epic in length.

In my opinion Cancer are a very great sounding suicidal, depressive black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out t heir side of the recording. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Catatonia Febrilis". RECOMMENDED.

Next up is Cemaprna Kpblnbr a band that plays a very depressive and suicidal form of black metal.

Drums are all slow playing with no fast drumming or blast beats being present on their side of the recording, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars are all slow depressive black metal riffs that use some raw and primitive elements along with some dark sounding melodies in the riffing, while the lead guitars are very dark sounding guitar leads that brings an ambient feeling to their side of the recording.

Vocals are all high pitched suicidal black metal screams and cries, while the lyrics are written in Russia and cover depressing themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it with their only song being very long and epic in length.

In my opinion Cemaprna Kpblnbr are a very great sounding depressive, suicidal black metal b and and if you are a f an of this musical genre, you should check out their side of the recording. RECOMMENDED.

Next up is Lugburz Sleed a band that has been featured in this zine recently and plays a very atmospheric and depressive form of post black metal.

Drums range from slow to mid paced drumming with no fast playing or blast beats being present on their side of the recording, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars range from slow to mid paced depressive black metal riffs that utilizing some raw and primitive elements as well as dark sounding melodies and clean playing to give the music an atmospheric edge and there are no guitar solos or leads present on their side of the recording.

Vocals are mostly grim sounding depressive black metal screams with some spoken word parts being utilized at times, while the lyrics are written in their native tongue and cover suicidal and anti life themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it with their 2 songs being long and epic in length.

In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Lugburz Sleed and if you are a fan of atmospheric and depressive black metal you should check out their side of the recording. RECOMMENDED TRACK "F48. 1". RECOMMENDED.

In conclusion I feel this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to all fans of suicidal and depressive black metal. RECOMMENDED BUY.

Lugburz Sleed/Transcendence/Rigorism Productions/2009 EP Review

This is another review of a recording from Lugburz Sleed which continues their atmospheric, depressive sound with the ep being released in 2009 by Rigorism Productions and called "Transcendence".

Drums range from slow to mid paced playing with no fast drumming or blast beats being present on this recording, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars, as for the synths they are only used briefly and they bring a very dark and atmospheric sound to the recording.

Rhythm guitars range from slow to mid paced depressive black metal riffs that utilize some raw and primitive elements as well as some melody in the riffing and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording, as for the acoustic guitars when they are utilized they use finger picking to bring the atmospheric elements to the music.

Vocals are all grim sounding and high pitched black metal screams, while the lyrics cover darkness, depression and anti life themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it with the songs being long and epic in length.

In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Lugburz Sleed and if you are a fan of atmospheric, depressive black metal, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Drawing On A Flesh" and "Degradation Senseless Illusion". RECOMMENDED BUY.

This is a review of another recording from Lugberz Sleed which continues their atmospheric, depressive, raw and primitive black metal approach with the album being released in 2008 by Rigorism Productions and called "Epoch Of Former Times".

Drums range from slow to mid paced drumming with no fast playing or blast beats being present on this recording, while the synths when they are utilized are very dark and atmospheric sounding, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars range from slow to mid paced depressive black metal riffs that are very dark, raw and primitive sounding with some melody being thrown into the riffing at times and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording, as for the acoustic guitars when they are utilized use finger picking to enhance the dark atmosphere of the music.

Lugburz Sleed/Epoch Of Twelve Streams/2008 Demo Review

Lugburz Sleed are a band from Ukraine that plays a very atmospheric, raw and primitive form of depressive black metal and this is a review of their self released 2008 demo "Epoch Of Twelve Streams".

Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a good amount of blast beats being thrown into the music, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast depressive black metal riffs that are very dark, r aw and primitive sounding with some melody being thrown into the riffing along with some clean playing which brings in the atmospheric elements, while the lead guitars when t hey are utilized are very raw and primitive sounding black metal guitar solos and leads as for the acoustic guitars when they are utilized they use full chords and finger picking to add more epic qualities to the music.

Vocals are all grim sounding and high pitched depressive black metal screams, while the lyrics cover dark, depressive and paganism themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it with a couple of songs being long and epic in length.

In my opinion Legburz Sleed are a very great sounding atmospheric, raw and primitive depressive black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. Tree Of Woe/Demo 2012 Review

Tree Of Woe are a band from California that plays a very raw and primitive form of depressive black metal and this is a review of their self released 2012 demo.

Drums range from slow to mid paced to fast playing with a good amount of blast beats being thrown into the music, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast depressive black metal riffs that are very dark, heavy, raw and primitive sounding with some melody being thrown into the riffing and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording.

Vocals are all grim sounding and high pitched depressive black metal screams, while the lyrics cover d ark and depressive themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.

In my opinion Tree Of Woe are a very great sounding dark, raw and primitive black metal b and and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Guardian Of Fire". RECOMMENDED BUY.

Thestral/Rituals Of Old/Draigfflam Productions/2002 EP Review

This is a review of another recording from Thestral which continues their atmospheric raw and primitive pagan/black metal sound with the ep being released in 2002 Draigfflam Productions and called "Rituals Of Old".

Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being utilized at times, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars, as for the synths when they are utilized they bring a very dark and atmospheric sound to the recording.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast pagan/black metal riffs that are very dark, raw and primitive sounding with a good amount of melody being thrown into the riffing, while the lead guitars which are only used on the last song are very melodic sounding black metal guitar leads, as for the acoustic guitars when they are utilized use finger picking to enhance the dark atmosphere of the recording.

Vocals are all grim sounding black metal screams, while the lyrics cover Celtic and Welsh Paganism themes, as for the production it has a very dark, r aw and primitive sound to it in the true black metal tradition.

In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Thestral and if you are a fan of atmospheric, raw and primitive sounding pagan/black metal, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Unconquered Clans" and "Of Archaic Origins". RECOMMENDED BUY.
