Pantheon Of Blood are a band from Finland that has been featured before in this zine with a musical style I would describe as being occult black metal and this is a review of their 2013 ep "Tetrasomia".
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being utilized at times, while the bass playing has a very strong and powerful sound with heavy riffing that dominates throughout the recording.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast occult black metal riffs that combine raw and primitive sounding elements with a good amount of melody to create a sound of their own as well as some soft and clean playing being utilized at times, while the lead guitars are very dark and melodic sounding occult black metal guitar solos and leads.
Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams that utilize some depressive sounding cries at times as well as some spoken word parts, while the lyrics cover the Greek philosopher Empedocles 's concept of Air, Water and Earth from an alchemist and occult point of view along with the songs being written in a mixture of English and Finnish, as for the production it has a very dark and heavy sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording while still retaining some of the raw black metal production.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Pantheon Of Blood and if you are a fan of dark, occult black metal, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Thunder Alchemy" and "Stigma ja Kolmikarki". RECOMMENDED BUY.
