Endless Loss are a duo from Australia that has had music reviewed before in this zine and on this recording plays a bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their 2024 album "Traversing The Mephitic Artery" which will be released in march by Nuclear Winter Records.
A very apocalyptic sounding intro starts off the album along with some tribal style drumming and chants before going into a very fast, raw and brutal war metal direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats while the vocals are a mixture of black metal screams and bestial growls.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very chaotic style while the songs also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. Dark sounding melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing along with all of the musical instruments also having a very powerful sound to them.
On this recording Endless Loss brings in a very raw and brutal mixture of war and bestial black/death metal. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover darkness, violence and esoteric themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Endless Loss and if you are a fan of war and bestial black/death metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Nexus Webs Of Malefic Prescience" "Mouldering Resurrection" and "Impenitent Draconian Triumph". 8 out of 10.
