  Grau  are  a  band  from  Germany  that  plays  a  very  aggressive  form  of  black  metal  with  elements  of  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2023  album  "Abseits  Des  Lichts"  which  will  be  released  in  December  by  Tragedy  Productions.

  A  very  dark y et  heavy  sound  starts  off  the  album  while  you  can  also  hear  all  of  the  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on  this  recording.  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast b eats  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  as  raw  feeling  and  the  vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams.

  Death  metal  growls  can  also  be  heard  at  times  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  melodic  style  along  with  the  songs  also  adding  in a   good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  as  well  as  the  slower  sections  also  bringing  in  touches  of  doom  metal.

   A  couple  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  as  well  as  some  clean  playing and  synths  also being  utilized  briefly  and  clear  vocals  are  also  added  on  the  closing  track. The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  German  and  cover  pain,  emptiness  and  the  animalistic  aspect  of  the  human  mind.   

  In  my  opinion  Grau  are  a  very  great  sounding  aggressive  and  modern  black  metal  band  with  elements  of  death  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Niemy"  "Fiebertraum"  and  "Frass".  8  out  of  10.

  Erusopxecinomeddetaeperhguorhtserisednamuhllafonoitacidarecitametsys  are  a  duo  from  San  Diego,  California  that  plays  a  very  raw  and  hateful  form  of  black  metal  with  elements  of  noise  and  punk  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2023  album  "Bloodlust  Towards  All"  which  will b e  released  in  December  by  Malevolent  Sound.  

  A  very  distorted  noise  orientated  sound  starts  off  the  album  before  going  into a   very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also  utilizes  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast b eats.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  lot  of  elements  of  punk  and  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing.

  All  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  while t he  songs  also  add  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  also  bring  in  more  of  an  old  school  style  along  with  most  of  the  songs  also  being  very  short  in  length  and  the  whole  album  also  always  sticks  to  a  heavier  direction.

  Erusopxecinomeddetaeperhguorhtserisednamuhllafonoitacidarecitametsys  plays  a  musical  style  that  takes  a  raw  form  of  black  metal  and  mixes  it  with  punk  along  with  a  touch  of  noise  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and r aw while  the  lyrics  cover  Occultism,  Left  Hand  Path,  Darkness  and  Hatred  themes.

  Pnakotic  Manuscript  are  an  international  band  with  embers  from  Russia,  Poland  and  Moldova  that  plays  a  very  aggressive  from  of  black  metal  with  elements  of  death  and  thrash  metal  and this  is  a  review  of  their  2023  album  "Dark  Prometheus"  which  was  released  by  Symbol  Of  Domination  Productions.

  A  very  fast  and  raw  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  melodies  can  also  be  heard  in  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  and  the  guitars  riffs  also  mix  in  elements  of  death  and  thrash  metal  at  times.

  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  solos  and  leads  are  also  done  in  a  very  melodic  style.  Growls  can  also  be  heard  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording  along  with  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  good  mixture  of  old  school  and  modern  and  influences, synths  can  also  be  heard  briefly.

  Pnakotic  Manuscript  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  melodic  and  aggressive  sounding  as  well  as  mixing  in  elements  of  death  and  thrash  metal  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  philosophy,  mythology  and  anti  religion  themes.

   Serpens  Lvx  are  an  international  duo  with  members  from  Mexico  and  Russia  that  plays  a  vey  satanic  and  occult  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2023  album  "HENDECAGRAMICON:  Adversarial  Ethos  Exoterically  Unlocking  Shrines  Of  Dissolution"  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Satanath,  Australis,  The  End  Of  Times  Records  and  Pluton's  Productions.

  A  very  ritualistic  sounding  intro  starts  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can be  heard  which  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  yet  grim  sounding  black  metal  screams  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody.  Some  of  the  tracks  are  also  long  and  epic  in  length  along  with  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  the  solos  and  leads  are  also  done  in  a  very  melodic  style,  angry  shouts  can  also  be  heard  at  times  and  one  song  also  adds  in  a  brief  use  of  clean  playing.

  Serpens  Lvx  plays  a  style  of  occult  black  metal  that  is  very  aggressive,  melodic  and  satanic  sounding.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  Mexican  Demonology,  Vampirism,  Egyptian/Sumerian  Magick,  Chaos  Gnosticism,  Left  Hand  Path  and  Traditional  Satanism  themes.

  Dhishti  are  a  band  from  Sri  Lanka  that  plays  a  very  atmospheric  and  depressive  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2023  album  "Life  Is  Suffering"  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Satanath,  Australis  Records.  Slava  and  Tragedy  Productions.

  Dark  soundscapes  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  clear  Asian  style  chants  a  few  seconds  later  while  the  percussion  also  adds  in  some  ritualistic  touches  before  going  into a   heavier  direction.  Most  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  depressive  black  metal  screams  while  the  solos  and  leads  are  also  done  in  a  very  melodic  style.  Clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording  along  with  the  riffs  also  adding  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody  as  well  as  the  music  also  having  its  atmospheric  moments.  

  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  decent  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling  and  throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  the  occult  rituals  used  in  curing  mental  illnesses  in  the  ancient  days  o  Sri  Lanka.

  Switzerland's  solo  project  Enoid  has  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  more  of  an  atmospheric,  raw  and  misanthropic  style  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2023  album  "O  Nuit,  emporte-moi  !"  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Satanath  and  Australis  Records.

  A  very  fast  and r aw  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  melodic  and  chaotic  style  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  and  synths  can  also  be  heard  at  times.

  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  good    mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  music  also  has  its  atmospheric  moments.  Melodies  can  also  be  heard  in  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  the  songs  also  mixing  in  influences  from  both  the  modern  and  old  school  era's  of  the  genre,  spoken  word  parts  can  also  be  heard  briefly  and  the  closing  track  is  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.

  On  this  recording  Enoid  takes  his  raw  and  misanthropic  style  of  black  metal  into  more  of  a  modern  and  atmospheric  direction.  The  production  sounds  very  raw  and  heavy  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Swiss  and  cover  death,  misanthropy  and  reflections.

  A  very  fast  and  raw  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Vocals a r e mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  clear  singing  can  also b e  heard  at  times  as  well  as  the  riffs  also  adding  in  a  lot  of  melody  and  the  keyboards  also  add  in  some  atmospheric  touches.

  Most  of  the  music  is  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  mid  90's  era  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  All  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  along  with  all  of  the  tracks  also  being  very  long  and  epic  in  length  and  when  guitar  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  melodic  style,  whispers  can  also  be  heard  briefly.

  Svartgrav  plays  a  style  of  black  emtal  that  is  very  atmospheric  sounding  in  the  mid  90's  tradition.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and r aw  while  the  lyrics  cover  darkness  and  winter  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Svartgrav  are  a  very  great  sounding  atmospheric,  mystical  and  old  school  black  metal  solo  project  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should c heck  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  "I"  and  "IV">  8  out  of  10.
