The Black Sorcery are a band from Canada that plays a bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "And The beast Spake Death From Above" which will be released in May by Krucyator Productions.
A very heavy and brutal sound starts off the album before going into a very fast war metal direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats while the vocals are a mixture of bestial growls and black metal screams and when keyboards are used briefly they give the music more of a ritualistic feeling.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the solos and leads are done in a very dark yet chaotic fashion along with the music also having a great amount of 90's influences as well as a touch of grindcore and the tremolo picking also gives the songs a more raw feeling and at times the growls get very guttural and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
The Black Sorcery plays a musical style that takes war, bestial black and cavernous death metal and mixes them together to create a very brutal dark recording, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover dark and violent themes.
In my opinion The Black Sorcery are a very great sounding bestial mixture of war black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ancient Dialects Of Wind" "Frost Veined" and "Helgeist". 8 out of 10.
