Belarus's solo project Pa Vesh En has returned with a new recording which continues his ambient style of black metal and this is a review of his 2018 album "Church Of Bones" which will be released in October by Iron Bonehead Productions.
Distorted ambient soundscapes start off the album before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also uses a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats while the vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams along with the riffs also bringing in a decent amount of dark sounding melodies.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while a couple of the tracks are very long and epic in length along with some dark sounding melodies being buried underneath a very lo-fi atmosphere and at times ambient elements are also mixed into the heavier sections of the music as well as a couple of the tracks being instrumentals and at times the music also mixes in depressive elements.
Pa Vesh En creates another recording that remains true to his raw style of ambient black metal, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover dark and depressive themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Pa Vesh En and if you are a fan of raw and ambient black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Wilderness Of Cursed Souls" and "The Venom Seed". 8 out of 10.
