VOID are a band from France that plays black'n'roll and this is a review of their 2018 album "Jettatura" which will be released in October by The Shadows Productions.
High pitched black metal screams start off the album along with some black'n'roll style riffing a few seconds later while the music also brings in a great amount of Norwegian influences along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them as well as the solos and leads being done in a very melodic style.
When the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking can be heard which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the tiffs also adding in a decent amount of melody and a couple of the later tracks are very long and epic in length.
VOID plays a style of black'n'roll that is more dark and raw than most bands of this genre, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics are written in a mixture of English and French and cover darkness and occultism themes.
In my opinion VOID are a very great sounding black'n'roll band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Theory Of Hail" and "Omen". 8 out of 10.
