Exorcism Wounds are a solo project from Florida that plays a Luciferian form of black metal and this is a review of his 2019 ep "Gnosis of The Void" which was released by Nailed Nazarene Industries.
A very fast and raw sound starts off the ep along with a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking. The riffs also add in a great amount of blast beats along with the vocals bringing in a mixture of deep growls and grim black metal screams and the music also has a lot of 90's influences.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very raw and melodic style. Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some of the tracks also being very long and epic in length, one track also adds in a brief use of ritualistic spoken word parts.
As the ep progresses a brief use of night sounds can be heard before returning back to a heavier direction and a couple of tracks also introduces clean playing onto the recording. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Satanism, The Luciferian 218 current and Left Hand Path themes.
In my opinion Exorcism Wounds are a very great sounding Luciferian black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Death Worship 218" and "Morphine Moon". 8 out of 10.
