Ieschure are a solo project form Ukraine that plays an occult form of black metal and this is a review of her 2017 album "The Shadow" which was released by Iron Bonehead Productions.
A keyboard orientated instrumental starts off the album while ritualistic spoken word parts can also be heard in the background briefly before going into a heavier musical direction. At times the music also gets very atmospheric sounding while the vocals are mostly angry sounding black metal screams.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic style while clean playing can also be heard on some of the tracks. Melodies can also b e heard in some of t he guitar riffing along with the keyboards also adding in touches of neo-classical at times and when the music speeds up a decent amount of blast b eats can b e heard.
When tremolo picking is added into the faster riffing they also give the music more of a raw feeling along with one song also introducing clear vocals onto the recording and spoken word parts also return on some of the later tracks, the songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Occultism, Witchcraft and Death themes.
In my opinion Ieschure are a very great sounding occult black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Eternal Wheels Of Life" and "Before the New Dawn COmes". 8/5 out of 10.
