Brazil's solo project have returned with a new recording that is in the experimental style of black metal that was established on previous recordings and this is a review of his 2016 demo "Rapist Of Souls" which was released by Depressive Illusions Records.
A very dark and avant garde sound starts off the demo along with some melodic vocals being going into more of a raw musical direction that uses a great amount of tremolo picking, blast beats, high pitched grim black metal screams along with some melodic guitar leads and elements of dark ambient.
When the music slows down it brings in more of a depressive style of black metal and other than the first and last track the music sticks mostly to a slow musical direction while also having its atmospheric moments and one song is all instrumental and there is also a brief use of clean playing while one track also mores in more of an experimental and avant garde sound and the last track shows the music returning back to a faster direction and the song is also very long and epic in length.
Circle Of Noose creates a black metal recording that is very raw and depressive while also adding in atmospheric, experimental and avant garde elements, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover dark, violent and depressive themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Circle Of Noose and if you are a fan of raw, depressive and experimental black metal, you should check out this cassette. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Deepthroating The Larynx" and "Rape of All Hope And faith". 8 out of 10.
