Spite are a solo project from Brooklyn, New York that plays a satanic and occult form of black metal and this is a review of his album "Antimoshiach" which will be released in 2018 by Invictus Productions.
A very fast and raw sound starts off the album along with a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats while the vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams along with a few bestial growls and the music has a lot of roots in the 90's and 80's but keeping it more modern.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to t hem while the riffs also bring in a great amount of dark sounding melodies along with the songs also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and when guitar leads are utilized they are done in a very dark yet melodic fashion.
Elements of classical metal can also be heard in the music at times while whispered vocals can also be heard briefly along with the melodies evoking a very evil atmosphere as well as one track being an instrumental and also bringing in a brief use of clean guitars and the closing track is very long and epic in length.
Spite plays a style of black metal that is very dark, raw and old school while bringing in a more modern atmosphere, the production sounds very professional while t he lyrics cover Satanism, Occultism and Blasphemy themes.
In my opinion Spite are a very great sounding satanic and occult black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Devil's Minyan" "Visions Of The Merkabah" and "Upon Funeral stone". 8 out of 10.
