Goats Of Doom are a band from Finland that has been featured before in this zine and on this recording plays more of a melodic form of occult black metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Rukous" which will be released in December by Primitive Reaction.
Raw tremolo picking starts off the album before going into a faster direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats while the vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them as well as some synths also being used at times.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very melodic style while clean playing can also be heard at times along with the songs also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as brief use of clean vocals, some of the tracks are very long and epic in length and the music also brings in elements of traditional metal and a couple of songs also introduces acoustic guitars onto the recording.
On this album Goats Of Doom goes into more of a melodic occult black metal direction, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics are written in a mixture of Finnish and English and cover Satanism, Luciferian, Thelema and Misanthropy themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Goats Of Doom and if you are a fan of melodic occult black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Law Ov Liberty" and "World Denied Lucifer's Light". 8 out of 10.
