Sagra's Cult are a band from Belgium that plays an Inca inspired form of black metal and this is a review of their eo "The 9th King" which will be released in 2019 by Amor Fati Productions.
Ritualistic chanting starts off the ep before evolving into grim black metal screams while the faster sections of the songs also bring in a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats along with the riffs also use a decent amount of melody and most of the tracks are very long and epic in length.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the solos and leads are done in a very melodic style along with the screams also getting very high pitched at times and the music always sticks to a heavy, aggressive and raw musical direction and clean vocals are added on the closing song.
Sagra's Cult plays a style of black metal that is very fast, raw and aggressive sounding, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover Inca Culture and Historical themes.
In my opinion Sagra's Cult are a very great sounding Inca inspired black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check ou this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The 9th King" and "Last Denial". 8 out of 10.
