Kos are a solo project from the United States that plays a very raw and satanic mixture of war and black metal and this is a review of his 2025 demo which was released by Elf Eggs.
Demonic voices start off the demo before going into a heavier direction while the vocals are mostly black metal screams mixed in with some bestial growls. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very chaotic style along with the faster sections of the songs also adding in blast b eats.
Elements of war metal are also utilized quite a bit throughout the recording while the music also gets very raw and minimalistic sounding at times along with most of the tracks sticking to a 2 minute limit, tremolo picking can also be heard in some of the faster riffing and some of the songs also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
Kos plays a musical style that takes a very raw form of satanic black metal and mixes it with war metal to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Satanism and Blasphemy themes.
In my opinion Kos is a very great sounding raw and satanic mixture of war and black metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Black Missile" and "Ghastly order". 8 out of 10.
