Red Right Hand Of Plague are a solo project from Portland, Oregon that plays a raw mixture of war, black metal and grindcore and this is a review of his 2024 demo "His Womb" which was released by Elf Eggs.
Music samples start off the demo before going into a very raw, fast and brutal war metal direction while the vocals are mostly bestial growls. At times the music also captures the brutality of grindcore while the fast tremolo picking also brings in elements of black metal onto the recording.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very chaotic style while the songs also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. Some of the riffing also adds in a small amount of dark sounding melodies along with some tracks also adding in some black metal screams.
Red Right Hand Of Plague plays a musical style that takes war, raw black metal and grindcore and mixes them together to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover war and dysphoria themes.
In my opinion Red Right Hand Of Plague is a very great sounding raw mixture of war, black metal and grindcore and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project.
