Ende are a band from France that plays an occult form of black metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "The Rebirth Of I" which was released by Obscure Abhorrence Productions.
A very dark, evil and atmospheric sound starts off the album and after a minute the music goes into a fast black metal direction along with some grim screams and blast beats and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the faster sections of the music bring in a raw side of the genre.
Some of the riffs bring in dark sounding melodies and some of the tracks are long and epic in length and nature sounds can also be heard at times and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and as the album progresses clean playing and acoustic guitars can be heard in certain sections of the recording along with a couple of instrumental tracks and there is also a brief use of melodic chanting and the music also gets very ritualistic at times and spoken word parts also find their way onto one of the songs.
Ende plays a style of black metal that is very heavy and raw while also being very up to date and ritualistic at times, the production sounds very raw, dark and heavy while the lyrics are written in a mixture of French and English and cover darkness, evil, occult and left hand path themes.
In my opinion Ende are a very great sounding occult black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Black Sorcery Of The Great Macabre" "Channeling Of The Howling Witch" and "Quintessence Of Evil". 8 out of 10.
