Requiem Of Death/Eternal Fear of The Blackness/Humanity's Plague Productions/2023 Full Length Review

 

  Requiem  Of  Death  are  a  duo  From  Sweden  that  plays  a  very  raw  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2023  album  "Eternal  Fear  Of  The  Blackness"  which  was  released  by  Humanity's  Plague  Productions.

  A  very  fast,  raw  and  lo-fi  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  good  amount  of  old  school  influences  and  the  guitar  riffs  only  add  in  a  brief  use  of  melodies  and  focus  on  a  heavier  direction

 

   Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  some  of  the  screams  also  add  in  some  melancholic  and  suicidal  touches  a  small  amount  of  clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  on  the  closing  track

  Requiem  Of  Death  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  raw  and  lo-fi  sounding.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Darkness  and  Death  themes. 

  In  my  opinion  Requiem  Of  Death  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw  and  lo-fi  black  metal  duo  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Waiting  For  The  Abyss"  "Purgatory  Of  The  Serpents"  and  "Eternal  Fear  Of  The  Blackness".  8 out  of  10.
