Crionics are a band from Poland that plays a very atmospheric form of black metal with some death metal elements and this is a review of their 2004 album "Armageddon's Evolution" which was released by Candlelight Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some brutal sounding blast beats being thrown into the music at times, while the synths bring a very dark and atmospheric sound to the recording as well as mixing in elements of classical and industrial, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that utilized a good amount of melody and death metal influences as well as a brief use of thrash elements being thrown into the riffing, while the lead guitars are very melodic sounding black metal guitar solos and leads.
Vocals range from deep death metal growls to high pitched black metal screams as well as a brief use of clean singing and spoken word parts, while the lyrics cover Darkness, Armageddon, Enochain and A. O Spare Occultism themes, as for the production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and professional sound to it.
In my opinion Crionics are a very great sounding atmospheric black metal band with death metal elements and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Final Inversion" "Chant Of Rebel Angels" and "Disconnected Minds". RECOMMENDED BUY.
