Blliigghhtted are a band from Turkey that has been featured before in this zine and plays an experimental and ambient form of black metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Zeroes" which will be released later this year by Merdumgiriz Records.
Grim black metal screams and heavy guitar riffing start off the album along with some dark sounding melodies and there are also a decent amount of melodic guitar leads and depressive screams being utilized at times and the slow riffs and deep vocals give the music more of a doom/death metal feeling.
Ritualistic chants can be heard at times and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and the music also speeds up at times and brings in a raw black metal feeling and both of the tracks are very long and epic in length and when synths are utilized they bring more of and epic atmosphere to the recording and on the second track clean singing vocals can be heard at times and the song also brings in elements of classical and dark ambient as well as being very experimental and avant garde at times and halfway through the second track the music gets more black metal.
Blliigghhtted creates a very original and diverse recording with this album that still has its black and death metal roots but also gets more experimental, ritualistic and avant garde this time around, the production sounds very dark and powerful while the lyrics cover darkness and occultism themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Blliigghhtted and if you are a fan of experimental and ambient black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Seven Zeroes". 8 out of 10.
