Silence.cold.alone/Lamentation Of The Falling Snow/Howling/Share Your Pain Records/2018 Cassette Review

  Silence.cold.alone  are  a  band  from  Greenland  that  plays  an  atmospheric  and  ambient  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2018  album  "Lamentation  of  The  Falling  Snow/Howling"  which  was  released  on  cassette  by  Share  Your  Pain  Records.

  Nature  sounds  start  off  the  album  along  with  some  ambient  style  synths  a  few  seconds  later  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also  uses  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  and  tremolo  picking  while  also  mixing  the  ambient  and  atmospheric  elements  into  the  heavier  sections  of  the  songs.

  Both  of  the  tracks  are  very  long  and  epic  in  length  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  along  with  the  songs  also  bringing  in  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  both  of  the  tracks  bring  in  nature  orientated  soundscapes  as  well  as  the  music  sounding  very  modern  and  when  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  done  in  a  very  melodic  style.

  Silence,cold.alone  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  atmospheric  while  also  mixing  in  a  great  amount  of  ambient  elements,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  nature  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Silence,cold.alone  are  a  very  great  sounding  atmospheric  ambient  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  cassette.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Howling".  8  out  of  10.
