Astral Horror are a duo from Finland that plays a mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their self released 2022 demo "Changer Of Destiny".
A very dark yet heavy sound starts off the demo while synths can also be heard in the background briefly, All of the drum beats are programmed along with all of the musical instruments on the recording also having a very powerful sound to them and the vocals a re a mixture of death metal growls and black metal screams.
Melodies can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing while whispered vocals can also be heard briefly. Acoustic guitars can also be heard in certain sections of the recording along with the faster sections of the songs also adding in a decent amount of blast beats and war metal elements and a lot of the music is also heavily rooted in the 90's era as well as a small amount of melodic guitar solos and leads also being added on the closing track.
Astral Horror plays a musical style that takes war, black and death metal and mixes them together to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover darkness and war themes.
In my opinion Astral Horror are a very great sounding mixture of war, black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Astral Horror". 8 out of 10.
