Neo Inferno 262 are a solo project from France that plats an industrial form of black metal and this is a review of his 2023 album "Pleonectic" which was released by Necrocosm.
Electronic industrial style beats start off the album which also mixes in with the heavier sections of the songs at times. Samples are also utilized quite a bit throughout the recording while the vocals are mostly angry sounding black metal screams and the riffs also add in a lot of melody.
Industrial style vocals are also utilized in certain sections of the album while clear singing is also added on some of the tracks. Some of the drum beats are programmed along with the faster sections of the songs also add in a decent amount of tremolo picking and blast beats which also gives the recording more of a raw feeling, some of the tracks are also very long and epic in length.
Spoken word parts are also added on a lot of songs along with a lot of t he tracks also adding in some synths. Clean playing is also utilized in some parts of the album along with the recording also adding in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts, clear singing can also b e heard briefly and operatic female vocals are also added on the closing track. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover the monstrosity of technology.
In my opinion Neo inferno 262 are a very great sounding industrial black metal solos project and if you are a fan of this musical genres, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "SEXES" "Digital Warfare" "Death Is Overrated" and "Of Angels And Silicon". 8 out of 10.
