Warslaughter Interview

 

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?



We're a death metal project that bases its entire theme on death and war with the environment, in the prehistoric era, focusing on the most perverted and putrid side of it.


2.A few months back you had released a new ep, musically how does it differ from the stuff you have released in the past?


There was a slight change in composition from our previous release, Autocombustion, and the EP follows the same line.


3.All of the band members have other bands or projects, how does the music of 'Warslaughter' differ from your other groups?


In terms of sound, it's darker, denser, and heavier.


4.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band has explored so far with the music?


Death.


5.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Warslaughter'?


It's the massacre of death over life, in the process of the early hominid. It's death, it's war, it's extermination.


6.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the ep cover?



The cover art depicts a hominid consumed under the walls of a cave, dying because its complicated environment consumes it in mysterious and uncomfortable ways.


7.Has the band done any live shows or open to the idea?


No, we're not interested.


8.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black and death metal?


We don't really pay much attention to that, we just focus on recording our material.


9.Wha tis going on with some of the other bands or musical projects these days that the band members are a part of?

10.When can we expect a full length and also where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?


We're about to start recording the album, and currently, we're working on two splits that are about to be released.


11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?


Undoubtedly death metal and Incantation, Teitanblood, or bands like Profanatica.


12.Does Satanism or Occultism play any role on your music?


No.
