Persecutory are a band from Turkey that has been featured before in this zine and plays a raw mixture of war, black, and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2017 album "Towards The Ultimate Extinction" which will be released by Gods Ov War Productions.
A very fast, raw, brutal and chaotic war metal direction starts off the album along with a great amount of blast beats while the vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams which also mixes in a great amount of hate and anger and the riffs also use a great amount of thrash influences.
Throughout the recording you can hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with all of the musical instruments sounding very powerful along with the riffs also mixing in a small amount of melody at times and the solos and leads also stick to a very raw and chaotic style.
Depressive screams can be heard in certain sections of the recording while some of the tracks are very long and epic in length and after awhile elements of death metal can also be heard in certain sections of the recording and angry shouts are also added into some parts of the songs and the music also brings in a great amount of 90's influences while also having a modern edge.
Persecutory creates another recording that remains true to their raw mixture of war, black, death and thrash metal, the production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover perversion, death, chaos and Satanism themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Persecutory and if you are a fan of war, black, death, and thrash metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Pillars Of Dismay" "Along The Infernal Hallways" and "Maelstroms Of Antireligious Cosmos". 8 out of 10.
