Aversio Humanitatis are a band from Spain that plays a very aggressive form of black metal with elements of death metal and this is a review of their 2017 ep "Longing For The Untold" which will be released in March by BlackSeed Productions.
A very fast and raw black metal sound along with a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats along with some deep death metal growls a few seconds later and the riffs also bring in a great amount of dark and atmospheric sounding melodies and after awhile high pitched screams are added onto the recording.
When guitar solos are utilized they are very dark, raw and melodic sounding along with the songs also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and one of the tracks is long and epic in length and the music also mixes in a more modern style of black metal and there is also a brief use of distorted guitar leads and atmospheric synths.
Aversio Humanitatis plays a musical style that takes a very raw, heavy and modern form of black metal and mixes it with death metal to create a sound of their own, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover nihilism, conscience and death themes.
In my opinion Aversio Humanitatis are a very great sounding mixture of modern black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Longing For the Untold" and "The Ever Shifting Path". 8 out of 10.
