Misanthropic Might are a band from Austria that has had music reviewed before in this zine and on this recording plays a vicious and misanthropic form of black metal with elements of death metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Feindt" which was released by HFC Records.
A very dark and melodic sound starts off the album and also mixes in with the heavy riffing while the vocals are mostly grim black metal screams along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them as well as some brutal blast beats being added into the faster sections of the music.
When tremolo picking is utilized it gives the songs more of a raw feeling while the music also brings in a great amount of death metal influences which also brings growls onto the recording along with the songs also bringing in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as the solos and leads being done in a very melodic style, as the album progresses a brief use of spoken word parts and acoustic guitars can also be heard and a couple of tracks also adds in some thrash influenced riffing.
On this recording Misanthropic Might remain true to their vicious style of black metal while also adding in some death metal influences to take their sound to another level, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover misanthropy, darkness and occult themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Misanthropic Might and if you are a fan of aggressive black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Feindt" "Strigoi" "Demonic Ritual Carnage" and "!679 (der schwarze Tod)". 8 out of 10.
