Necrotombs/Shadow People/2022 Full Length Review

 

  Necrotombs  are  a  solo  project  from  Italy  that  plays  a  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2022  album  "Shadow  People".

  A  very  dark  sounding  intro  starts  off  the  album  while  whispers  can  also  be  heard  briefly  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also  utilizes  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  good  amount  of  melody  and  the  vocals  are a  mixture  of  grim  black  metal  screams  and  death  metal  growls. 

  All  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  A  lot  of  the  music  is  heavily  influenced  by  the  old  school  style  but  more  rooted  in  the  modern  era  along  wit h one  song  also  adding  in  a  brief  use  of  clean  playing  and  a  couple  of  tracks  are  instrumental  ballads  that  also b ring  in  a  good  amount  of  clean  playing.

  Necrotombs  plays  a  musical  style  that  takes  black  and  death  metal  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  his  own.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Paranormal  Phenomena    and  Occultism  themes.    

  In  my  opinion  Necrotombs  is  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  solo  project.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Darkness  Walks"  "Interdimentional  beings"  and  "Shadow  People".  8/5  out  of  10.
