Vuimago where a duo from the Netherlands that played a very raw and old school form of occult black metal and this is a review of their 2014 demo "Vurahva" which was released by Nebular Carcoma.
A very dark and raw black metal sound starts off the demo and a few seconds later the music starts to speed up a bit along with blast beats and screams and demonic growls which are mixed in the background while they do get more powerful after awhile and the band also uses a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
The music is heavily rooted in the true 90's black metal tradition and the band also brings in a very dark and ritualistic atmosphere into their musical sound and they use mostly power chords and tremolo picking to create a very raw approach and after awhile the vocals really start to sound it being done in a more evil style than the standard way of doing black metal vocals.
Vuimago plays a very dark and true form of occult black metal that manages to capture a very ritualistic feeling while also remaining true to a very heavy and raw sound, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Occult and Left Hand Path themes.
In my opinion Vuimago are a very great sounding raw and old school occult black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ouroboros Of The Worm" and "Sermon Of The Sinner". 8/5 out of 10.
