Deemtee/Strange Aeons & Deliriums/Darkness Within/2023 Full Length Review

 

  Deemtee  are  a  solo  project  form  Spain  that  has  had  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  on  this  recording  plays  an  alchemical  form  of  avant  garde  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2023  album  "Strange  Aeons  &  Deliriums"  which  will  be  released  in  December  by  Darkness  Within.

  Clear  avant  garde  vocals  and  melodic  riffing  starts  off  the  album  while  clean  playing  is  also  added  on  some  of  the  tracks.  All  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a very  powerful  sound  to  them  while  one  of  the  songs  is  also very  long  and  epic  in  length  and  the  solos  and  leads  also  add  in  a  lot  of  melody.

  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  decent  amount  of  blast  beats  and  raw   tremolo  picking  can  also  be  heard  while  angry  black  metal s creams  are  also  a  very  huge  part  of  the  recording.  At  times  the  music  also  gets  very  progressive  sounding  along  with  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.

  Acoustic  guitars  and  psychedelic  elements  can  also  be  heard  briefly  along  with  the  music  also  having  its  experimental  moments  as  well  as  one  song  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  acoustic  guitars.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  the  last  doomed  alliance  of  humanity  against  Lovecraftian  Horrors.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Deemtee  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  avant  garde  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Forbidden  Fumes"  and  "This  Delirium".  8  out  of  10.
