Goatblood are a band from Germany that plays a mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Adoration Of Blasphemy And War" which will be released in May by Dunkelheit Produktionen.
Sounds of war start off the album before going into a very chaotic war metal direction that also introduces bestial growls and blast beats into the music and the music also bring s in morbid sounding melodies and a decent amount of death metal influences and the songs have a 90's feeling to them at times.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and when solos and leads are utilized they are very chaotic sounding and remain true to a black and war metal style and grim screams can also be heard in certain sections of the recording and the songs also bring in a great amount of raw energy and brutality and one of the tracks also brings in a brief use of spoken word parts while war samples also make a return on a later song
Goatblood takes the rawest and most brutal element s of war, black and death metal to create one very bestial sounding holocaust induced album, the production sounds very raw and old school while the lyrics cover violence, war, alcohol, blasphemous and occult themes.
In my opinion Goatblood are a very great sounding mixture of war, black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Animal Anal Acrobatic" "Deluge In Heaven" "Op Vulva" and "Trumpets Of Baphomet". 8 out of 10.
