Bmokatak where a solo project from Sweden that played a very raw and misanthropic form of black metal and this is a review of his 2018 compilation album "Primordial Desecration" which was released by Death Prayer Records and consists of all his demo's and a bonus track.
A very dark sounding intro starts off the compilation before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. A couple of the tracks are also very long and epic in length while the vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams.
The songs also mix in a great amount of 90's era influences while the tracks also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. At times the riffs also get very repetitive sounding which also adds to the primitive nature of the music as well as some clean playing can also b e hear d briefly
Bmokatak played a style of black metal that was very raw, repetitive and misanthropic sounding. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover hate, negativity, depression and suicide themes.
In my opinion Bmorkatak where a very great sounding raw an misanthropic black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this compilation. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "As They Drag Me Down" "Sanguine Trails" and "Splendour Putrescence". 8 out of 10.
