Harassor/Hater Of Man/Husk Productions/2012 Full length Review

Harassor  are  a  band  from Los  Angeles,  California  that  plays  a  mixture  of  black  metal,  punk  and  crust  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2012  album  "Hater  Of  Man"  which  was  released  by Husk Productions.

"Glacial Witchery"  begins with  some  distorted sound  effects before  the  melodic  and  primitive  guitar  and  bass  riffs  along  with  some drums  kick  in  and  then  the  music  goes  into  a  heavier  direction  and  after awhile  the  grim  black  metal screams  start  kicking  in.

"B.T.A"  begins  with  some  heavy  old  school  sounding  guitar riffs,  drums  and  grim  black  metal  vocals  and  the  song  riffing  from  slow  and  mid  paced  parts  along  with  some   elements  of  black'n'roll.

'Killed  By  Inanity"  begins  with  heavy  guitar  and  bass  riffs  which  are  heavily  punk  influenced  along  with  some  drums  and  then  the  grim  black  metal  screams  start  kicking  in  and  then  the music  speeds  up  and  adds  in  some  primitive  elements  along  with  a  brief  use  of  blast  beats.

"Ripping  Hammer"  begins  with  some  blackened  crust  guitar  and  riffs  along  with  some  drums  and  grim  screams  and  starts  slowing  down  after  a  few  seconds  before  speeding  up  again  and  closing  the  song.

"Rebellion"  begins  with  some  drums  and  bass  guitar  riffs  and  a  few  seconds  later  heavy guitar riffs  start  kicking  in  along  with  some  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  and  the  song  for  the  most  part  uses  the  same  guitar  riff  until  the end.

"Path  Of  Self  Cannibalization" begins  with  some  primitive  black  metal/crust  punk  guitar  and  bass  riffs  along  with  some  drums  and  high  pitched  screams  and  after  awhile  you  can  hear  some  blast  beats being  utilized  and  towards  the  end  their  is  a  brief  use  of  deep  demonic growls  being  utilized.

"Ildjarn  Is  Dead" begins  with  some  primitive  guitar  and  bass  riffs  along  with  some  black  metal  screams  and  then  the  drums  kick  in  along  with  a  brief  use  of  blast  beats  being utilized  but  mostly  sticking  to  mid  paced elements.

"The  End  Of  Your  World"  begins  with  some slow  and  heavy  guitar riffs  that  utilize some  drone  and  doom metal  elements  and  after a  couple  of  minutes grim  sounding  black  metal  screams  make  their  presence  known  in  this  song  and  halfway  through  the  song  there  are  some deep  demonic  growls  being  utilized.

Song  lyrics  cover  hatred  for  humanity  themes,  while  the  production  has  a  very  dark,  raw and  primitive  sound  while  you  can  still  hear  all of  the  musical  instruments  that  are  present  on this  recording with  the  last song  being  very  long  and  epic  in length.

In  my  opinion  Harassor  are  a  very  great sounding  hybrid  of  black  metal, punk  and crust  and if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check out this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS INCLUDE  "Glacial Witchery"  "Ripping  Hammer" and  "Ildjarn  Is  Dead".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
