Balance Interruption are a band from Ukraine that plays a very experimental form of black metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "Door 218" which was released as a joint effort between Satanath Records and Abstruse Eerie Radiance.
Drum beats start off the album along with some avant garde yet heavy riffing a few seconds later and when the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the music more of a raw feeling and the vocals also bring in a great mixture of black metal screams and death metal growls.
When solos and leads are done they bring in a very melodic style and the riffs also bring in a decent amount of melody and saxophones can also be heard at times and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and elements of industrial can also be heard in some parts off the songs.
Spoken word samples can be heard in certain sections of the recording and all of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them and the music gets more experimental as the album progresses while the riffing also starts getting very technical and the music also brings in a more modern style of black metal and there is also a brief use of clean guitars and there are also elements of drum'n'bass on some of the tracks.
Balance Interruption plays a style of black metal that is very technical and they also mix in elements of avant garde, experimental and electronic music to create something very original, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Apocalypse and Anti Religion themes.
In my opinion Balance Interruption are a very great sounding experimental black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Last Sunset Without Sun" "D.U.S.T" and "Hypnotik Eye Kvlt". 8 out of 10.
