  Agonia  Black  Vomit  are  a  solo  project  from  Italy  that  has  had  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  on  this  recording  goes  for  a  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2026  album  "Satanic  Rites  For  The  Undead"  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Symbol  of  Domination  and  WP  Productions.

  Keyboards  start  off  the  album  before  going  into a   heavier  direction  while  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  add  in  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast beats  which  also  gives  the  recording  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  mixed  in  with  a  few  growls.

  Melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  while  the  album  also  has  its  atmospheric  moments.  Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  the  solos  and  leads  also  being  done  in  a  very  melodic  style,  the  music  is  also  very  heavily  influenced  by  the  old  school  era  of  the  genre  as  well  as  some  clean  playing  and  spoken  words  also  being  used  at  times  and  a  couple  of  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.

  On  this  recording  Agonia  Black  Vomit  brings  out  a  very  raw,  atmospheric  and  satanic  style  of  black  metal.  The  production  sounds  very  raw  and  heavy  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism,  Unholy  and  Anti  Christian  themes.

Ambrotos/Atrocious Chants/Satanath Records/WP Productions/2026 Full Lenghth Review

    Greece's  Ambrotos  have  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a philosophical  and  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  album  "Atrocious  Chants"  which  was  released  as  a  joint  effort  between  Satanath  Records  and  WP  Productions.

  Choirs  and  medieval  battle  sounds  start  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also  utilizes a   great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast b eats.  Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  growls  and  black  metal  screams  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a very  powerful  sound  to  them.

   Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  also  add  in  more  of  an  old  school  style  along  with  some  tracks  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  synths  which  also  gives  the  recording  more  of  an  avant  garde  touch.

  Clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  on  a  few  songs  along  with  some  tracks  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  spoken  word  samples  and  the  closing  track  is  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  are  a  concept  album  which  covers  the  figure  of  Satan  through  the  lens  of  medieval  Christian  references.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Ambrotos  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  philosophical  and  satanic  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Thy  Messengers"  "Horned  Gods"  and "Satan  Triumphant".  8  out  of  10.

  Masca  are  a  band  from  Italy  that  plays  a  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  album  "Maskerie  Filia  Diaboli"  which  was  released  as a  joint  effort  between  Satanath  and  Underworld  Echoes  Records.

  A  very  dark, heavy  and  brutal  sound  starts  off  the  album  while  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  add  in  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  black  metal  screams  and  death  metal  growls  and  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing.\

  Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  solos  and  leads  are  also  done  in  a  very  chaotic  yet  melodic  style.  The  music  also  adds  in a  mixture  of  both  old  school  and  modern  influences  along  with  one  track  also  adding  in  a  brief  use  of  ritualistic  spoken  word  samples  and  one  song  also  adds  in  a  small  amount  of  clear  singing.

  Masca  plays  a  musical  style  that  takes  a  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  mixes  it  with  death  metal  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism,  Luciferianism,  Witchcraft  and  Black  Magick  themes.  

  In  my  opinion  Masca  are  a  very  great  sounding  satanic  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Blood  Of  Sacrifice"  "Immolation  Of  The  Unborn"  and  "Roots  of  Bones".  8  out  of  10.

Tsirhic/To Satan I Reply/Iron Bonehead Productions/2026 EP Review

  Tsirhic  are  a  solo  project  from  the  United  States  that  plays  a  very old  school  and  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2026  ep  "To  Satan  I  Reply"  which  will  be  released  in  August  by  Iron  Bonehead  Productions.

  Dark  soundscapes  start  off  the  ep along  with  a  brief  use  of  ritualistic  spoken  words  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  the  music  is  very  heavily  rooted  i  the   mid  90's  era  of  the  genre  and  blast  beats  are  added  into  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs.

  When  tremolo  picking  is  added  into  the  fast  riffing  they  also  give  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling  while  the  recording  also  adds  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  Melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  one  track  adding  in  a  brief  use  of  synths  before  returning  back  to  a  heavier  direction  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them,  when  guitar  leads  are  finally  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  melodic  style..

  Tsirhic  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  raw  and  satanic  in  the   mid  90's  tradition.  The  production  sounds  very  raw  and  old  school  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism  and  Anti  Christianity  themes.

  Portugal/U.S.A's  Sardonic  Witchery  have  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  an  old  school  and  satanic  mixture  of  black  and  thrash  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2026  album  "Hell's  Thorns  Attack"  which  will  be  released  in  September b y  Firecum  Records.

  Old  school  extreme  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads  start  off  the  album  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  lot  of  thrash  metal  elements.  Vocals  are  mostly  black  metal  screams  which  also  mix  both  the  first  and  second  wave  together  along  with  the  faster  sections  of  the  recording  also  adding  in  a  lot  of  blast  beats  and  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  riffing.

  Most  of  the  music  is  very  heavily  rooted  in  the 80's  and  early  90's  era  while  the  tremolo  picking  in  the  fast  riffing  also  gives  the  recording  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  some  back  up  shouts  and  growls  also  being  utilized  at  times  and  synths  can  also  be  heard  briefly.

  On  this  recording  Sardonic  Witchery  goes  back  to  the  80's  and  early  90's  of  black  and  thrash  metal  and  mix  them  together  to  create  a  very  heavy  release.  The  production  sounds  very  raw  and  old  school  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism,  Witchcraft,   Occultism,  Lust  and  War  themes.

Kudex Thaldoma Interview

1. For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the solo project?

Kudex Thaldoma is a project I founded in 2022 in a city on the shores of the Caspian Sea. My music is dedicated to spreading the Will of the Dark Deities. Everyone is free to understand those words in their own way. I've never tried to make this project look like something it isn't. What matters to me is that this music is honest—it reflects my own perspective and my personal experience.

2. In March you released your first full-length. Can you tell us a little bit more about the musical style that you went for on the recording?

I don't think Kudex Thaldoma can be defined by a single genre. If you try to put it into one category, you lose part of what it really is. Everyone experiences this music differently. Musically, I would call it black metal because that's the only genre where the spiritual aspect comes first for me. But the project isn't limited to black metal alone. It grew from it, but became something more.

3. A lot of your lyrics cover Occult and Left-Hand Path themes. Can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in the Dark Arts?

Yes, my work is based on the Left-Hand Path. Like any practitioner, I have my own Gnosis and my own understanding of these things. But what unites us is the Will of the Dark Deities. Everyone gives it different names and explains it in different ways, but it can't truly be described. We can only approach it and understand a small part of it. My interest in the Dark Arts began in early childhood because they were genuinely practiced in my family.

4. I know that the band's name means "Dark Water" in Russian. How does this name fit in with the musical style that you play?

I won't go too deeply into terminology—those who understand will know what I mean. To me, the Dark Waters represent a connection to Chaos and its manifestation through my work. Darkness is Chaos, while Water is the element of our world—the substance from which all living things are made. Through knowledge, I wanted to show the connection between Chaos and our existence, as a way of returning to the roots.

5. Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the new album cover?

This artwork was created through Gnosis and several months of dedicated work. It contains many hidden details and layers of meaning that reveal themselves over time. At the center is an Eye containing a Chaos Star. To me, it represents a gaze beyond the cosmos, Primordial Chaos, Darkness, and Awakened Consciousness. The Eye is placed within a Blade, symbolizing the aspects of Chaos that manifest in our reality. The rest is for people to discover on their own.

6. With this project you record everything by yourself. Are you open to working with other musicians, or do you prefer to work solo?

Yes, I'm open to working with other musicians. However, Kudex Thaldoma is primarily built around my personal Gnosis. I also have another black metal project called Aathiel, which I founded together with another member. It will begin its activity in the near future.

7. Currently you are unsigned. Are you looking for a label, or have you received any interest?

I've received offers before, but none of them felt like the right fit. Working with a label would help bring both my music and its ideas to more people. Since the ideological side of this project is my main priority, I'm always open to new proposals. At the moment, a release of Krhhe El Var Satan is planned through a Russian black metal label. But in the end, that's simply one more way Darkness spreads.

8. On a worldwide level, how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black metal?

I believe most people understood the message I wanted to convey.

9. Do you have any experience playing in other bands or musical projects?

Yes. As I mentioned before, I'm also a member of Aathiel.

10. Where do you see yourself heading as a musician in the future?

Simply put—continued growth and spreading the message.

11. What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music, and what are you listening to nowadays?

Pseudogod has been a major influence on me, along with the bands released through Norma Evangelium Diaboli.

12. Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

Look deeper, and don't take the words only at face value. Kudex Thaldoma isn't meant to appear grim or provoke pointless controversy. The purpose and the message are something entirely different.

  Gravethorn(USA)  brings  us  "Cromlech"    which  starts  out  with  some  rain  and  thunder  sounds  while  also  adding  in  some  synths  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  which  also  shows  the  vocals  mixing  both  black  metal  screams  and  death  metal  growls,  blast  beats  are  also  added  into  the  faster  sections  of  the  track  and  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  riffing  as  well  as  the  solos  and  leads  also  adding  in  more  of  an  old  school  approach. 

  Tyranno(Brazil)  brings  us  "In  The  Shadows  Of  The  Horns"  which  sounds  a  lot  like  the  original  version  with  the  vocals  being  mostly  black  metal  screams  with  a  first  wave  touch  while  most  of  the  track  sticks  to  a  mid  tempo  direction  and  when  the  music  speeds  up  a  decent  amount  of  blast  beats  can  be  heard,  clean  playing  is  also  added  towards  the  end.

  Myrdinger  (Sweden)  brings  us  "Summer  Of  The  Diabolical  Holocaust"  which  is  a  very  fast  and  raw  second  wave  style  black  metal  song  with  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  and  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  riffing  and  the  riffs  also  ad d in  a  small  amount  of  slow  and  mid  tempo  directions  as  well  as  the  solos  and  leads  sticking  to  more  of  a  90's  style.

  Vephar(Poland)  brings  us  "Unholy  Black  Metal"  which  is  another  song  from  the  bands  black  metal  era  with  a  lot  of  raw  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  and  the  solos  and  leads  are  also  done  in  a  very  chaotic  style.

  Lamenting  Shadows(USA)  brings  us  "Transilvanian  Hunger"  a  song  that  has  been  done  over  and  over  again  by  too  many  bands  in  the  last  30  years  and  this  version  alo  remains  true  to  the  original  style  of  the  song.    

  Incineratus  (USA))  brings  us  "Skald  av  Satans  sol"  which  is  another  song  from  the  Transilvanian  Hunger  album  and  also  in  a  very  raw,  old  school  and  second  wave  Norwegian  black  metal  style.

  Genocide  Kult  (Poland)  brings  us  "Quintessence"  a  song  of  the  Panzerfaus  album  which  shows  more  of  a  mid  paced  approach  to  black  metal  without  losing  the  raw  aggression  of  the  earlier  releases  that  came  before.

  Death  Brigade  brings  (UK)  us  "The  Hordes  Of  Nebulah"  another  song  from  the  bands  black  metal  era  which  adds  in  a  lot  of  mid  tempo  riffing  and  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  and  the  solos  and  leads  are  also done  in  more  of  a  melodic  style.

  Aske  (Brazil)  brings  us  "Too  old  Too  Cold"  which  was  from  the  era  where  Darkthrone  started  incorporating  more  first  wave  and  crust  elements  into t heir  musical  style  and  the  song  is  done  in  more  of  a  mid  tempo  direction.

  Essedum  (Finland)  brings  us  "Fuck  of  And  Die"  which  shows  more  of  a  Motorhead  influence  with  some  touches  of  d  beat  and  the  vocals  move  from  a  grim  approach  to  more  of  a  first  wave  direction.

  Mead  Theif (USA)  brings  us  "Raised  On  Rock"  which  shows  the  music  bringing  in  more  of  a  mid  tempo  metal/punk  style  while  the  drums  also  add  in  some  d  beats  and  the  guitar  leads  are  done  in  a melodic  style.

  Praesepultus  (USA)  brings  us  "Rust"  which  starts  out  with  some  dark  soundscapes  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  along  with  the  song  coming  from  the  early  2000's  era  of  the  band  and  most  of  the  music  sticks  to  a  mid  tempo  direction  before  going  into  a  faster  direction  with  some  raw  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  

  Trewan  (Germany)  brings  us  "Circle  The  Wagons"  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  mixture  of  heavy/speed  metal  punk  while  the  vocals  have  more  of  a  black  metal  approach  and  the  track  is  done  in  more  of  a  mid  tempo  direction.      

  Ill  Tidings  (Austria)  brings  us  "Leave  No  Cross  Unturned"  which  showed  the  music  going  for  more  of  an  80's  speed  metal  direction  with  some  touches  of  thrash,  punk  and  first  wave  black  metal  and  the  vocals  also  add  in  more  of  a  power  metal  approach,  blast  beats  are  added  into  the  faster  section  of  the  song  and  the  solos  and  leads  are  done  in  more  of  melodic  style.

  Galdragon  brings  us  "The  Hardship  Of  The  Scots" which  showed  the  music  bring  in  more  of  a  mixture  of  first  wave  black  metal  and  traditional  metal  and  the  slow  riffs  also  mix  in  the  heaviness  of  doom  metal  and  the  vocals  bring  in  more  of  a  second  wave  black  metal  style.

  Wolftribe  (Poland)  closes  the  compilation  with  "Weakling  Avenger"  a  song  from  the  bands  2000's  era  which  was  still  in  the  fast  Nordic  black  metal  tradition  and  remained  true  to  the  style  established  o  the  earlier  releases.

  On  this  compilation  bands  from  around  the  world  cover  different  eras  of  Darkthrone's  music  with  songs  ranging  from  the  early  black  metal  era  to  the  more  modern  era  where  the b and  started  changing  their  style  around  a  lot.

  In  conclusion  I  feel t his  is  a  very  great  sounding  compilation  and  i  would  recommend  to  to  all  fans  of  both  Darkthrone's  older  and  newer  material.  8  out  of  10.\

  At  times  the  music  also  captures  a  very  lo-fi  atmosphere  while  the  solos  and  leads  also  stick  to  more  of  an  old  school  direction.  Chants  can  also  be  heard  at  times  along  with  some  of  the  tracks  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  mid  tempo  sections,  dark  sounding  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  and  the  whole  demo  sticks  to  a  heavier  direction.

  Bloodoffer  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  raw  and  satanic  in  the  90's  second  wave  tradition.  The  production  sounds  very  raw,  lo-fi  and  old  school  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Bloodoffer  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw,  old  school  and  satanic  black  metal  solo  project  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  demo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "A  Sovereign,  A  Horned  King"  and  "Curse  of  The  Black  Circle".  8  out  of  10.

  Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  dark  sounding  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing.  A  lot  of  the  music  is  also  very  heavily  influenced  by  the  South  American  style  along  with  some  tracks  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  synths.

   Some  of  the  songs  also  add  in  a  small  amount  of  ritualistic  touches  as  well  as  the  solos  and  leads  also  adding  in  more  of  an  old  school  approach  when  they  are  introduced  along  with  one  song  also  bringing  in  a  brief  use  of  clear  singing,  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism,  Occultism,  Paganism,  Darkness  and  Death  themes.  

  In  my  opinion  Ataud  are  a  very  great  sounding  satanic  black  metal b and  with  elements  of  death  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Under  The  Night  Of  Cold  Saturn"  "Satan's  Vindication"  "May  Demons  Fuck  Your  Rotten  Corpse"  and  "Smell  of  Death".  8  out  of  10.

Fortabaddon/Blasphemous Builds/2026 EP Review

  Fortabaddon  are  a  solo  project  from  Baltimore,  Maryland  that  plays  a  very  satanic  and  blasphemous  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  self  released  2026  ep  "Blasphemous  Builds".

  Clean  playing  starts  off  the  demo  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also  utilizes  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  the  music  is  also  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  old  school  era  of  the  genre. 

  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  dark  yet  melodic  style  while  all  of  the  drum  beats  are  also  programmed.  Melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  the  recording  also  adding  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.

  Growls  are  also  utilized  at  times  and  a  couple  of  tracks  also  add  in  a  small  amount  of  dark  soundscapes  as  well  as  some  of  the  songs  also  being  very  long  and  epic  in  length  along  with  one  track  also  being  an  instrumental.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism,  Anti  Christianity,  Fortnite  and  Parody  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Fortabaddon  are  a  very  great  sounding  satanic  black  metal  solo  project  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Elimination"  and  "Polar  Peaks".  8  out  of  10.

Epikoros/Black Sun Eclipse/2026 Full Length Review

  This  is  a  review  of  another  recording  from  Atlanta,  Georgia's  Epikoros  which  also  shows  the  music  going  into  more  of  a  raw  black  metal  direction  and  the  album  was  self  released  in  2026  and  called  "Black  Sun  Eclipse".

  The  sounds  of  war  start  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  add  in  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  and  the  riffs  also  add  in a   lot  of  melody.

  A  lot  of  the  music  is  also  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  classic  European  tradition  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  good   mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  chaotic  style  with  some  melodic  touches  and  the  album  also  closes  with  a  1349  cover.

  On  this  recording  Epikoros  goes  for  a  very  fast,  raw  and  melodic  style  of  black  metal.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  the  anger  of  the  Western  World,  heresy  of  all  religions,  black  metal  and  Satanism  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Epikoros  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  fast,  raw  and  melodic  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Black  Metal  Warfare"  "Kali  Yuga  (Age  Of  Iron)"  "Warwolves  of  The  Satanic  Reich"  and  "Black  Sun  Eclipse".  8  out  of  10.

Azerothul Interview

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the solo project?

Hello. Thanks for having me. Azerothul is a one man black metal project from the Netherlands. I get nothing done by anyone else. I do the music, art and mixing myself. Does this always lead to the best results? No not at all hahah. But I just like to do it like that.

2.So far this year you have released a good amount of material, can you tell us a little bit more about the musical style that you went for on the recordings?

Uhm I didn’t release that much tbh. 2 of the EPs are basically the same EP but one has 2 songs extra. I fell on ice while recording so couldn’t finish art and the last 2 songs so I just released as it is. Then later on when I healed I finished it like I wanted. So technically I only released 2 short releases. The style I went for? Well I just tried the make the type of Black Metal I personally enjoy. Raw and dark. Wether I succeeded or not is up to the listener hahah. 

3.A  lot of your lyrics cover Satanism, Occultism and Vampirism themes, can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in the dark arts?

Ever since I was a small child I was rooting for the bad guy in movies. Watching a disney movie? All my friends rooting for Hercules and I was going: HADES! HADES! HADES!

Captain hook was cooler than Peter Pan, so was Sauron etc etc.

I was about 14 years old when I really really started to get into occult, call myself a Satanist, do rituals and so on… and now at almost 32 I still do. 

4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Azerothul'?

Well, starting a project in late 2025 it’s hard to find a unique name. Every demonic name or cool dark name is already taken you know. So I decided to take 3 words that have a dark spiritual meaning to me and mix em up, leave some letters out etc etc until I had a word that clicked. So in itself it doesn’t mean anything at all. What words and how? I never told someone before and I shall keep it that way. It’s mine and mine alone.

5.Can you tell us a little bi more about the artwork that is presented on the ep covers?

Well the first one is just a picture of my backyard during the snow. Like said in an earlier question I had made a big fall on ice so couldn’t use my right arm for about a month which also meant no drawing. Then the 2 after are just things I like. A bit occult and medieval. Not much meaning behind it tbh. I just make what I like. The last release with the viking/warrior spirit was actually made for a split with a band that had to cancel. Felt too good to let it collect dust so I used it for an EP. 

6.With this project you record everything by yourself, are you open to working with other musicians or do you prefer to work solo?

For this project I won’t let anyone in. This is one of my most personal projects. Just me. I am however open to work with other musicians. I have many other projects. Some where I only do guitar. Some where I do guitar + drums. Working on a project with a vocalist atm. I do all instruments he does vocals. We gonna make occult heavy metal. He sings in the dutch band Epifyse btw if you wanna know what he sounds like. I also work a lot with my girlfriend. She plays bass and likes to do vocals. Some new projects with her coming soon. 

7.You have also done a 'Venom' cover, what was the decision behind doing your own version of one of their songs? 

Well very simply put… I fucking love Venom. One of my all time favourite bands. Last year for my 31st birthday my father gave me this huge ass Venom vinyl boxset. I own most of their material, fuck ton of shirts and other merch. Venom just one of my biggest loves in metal. One of the projects I’m working on with my gf mentioned above will have a very Venom inspired sound. First wave black/thrash/speed. 

8.You also have a grindcore project called 'Biological Collapse', can you tell us a little bit more about the material you have recorded with this project?

Well my 2 main loves within the metal subgenres are black metal and grindcore. So I just had to get that itch out you know. I have 2 main loved genres I like to create and it doesn’t feel right to mix em both in 1 project. Grindcore does come a bit easier to me. Black Metal I gotta sit down and write. Grind just comes out. I improvised and recorded a full Biological Collapse EP on a livestream on twitch as a challenge some time ago. Writing, playing and recording all while people looked at me. Was a lot of fun. 

9.On a worldwide level, how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black metal?

Well worldwide is a bit big for my small projects hahah. But generally speaking people very positive. Most critique I get is based on the production value, which is totally fair btw. Even the people that have some constructive feedback on that are still positive about the riffs etc. There also is a very small portion that just hates me and insults me for no other reason than to hate. But I won’t go into much details or specifics… only gives em power you know. Let em accuse me of crap and insult me. I’ll ignore em and happily sit with my guitar in my lap in my living room doing what I love. 

10.When can we expect a full length and also where do you see yourself heading into as a musician during the future?

Uhm I actually found 4 leftover songs from my first BM band I started in 2014 that unfortunately fell apart some years ago. Found em on an old USB stick along with some art. First gonna re-record those songs and release em along the old art but under the Azerothul name instead of the old bands name. After that I’ll look into doing a full length. When? Idk. I am but an amateur with some homerecording stuff so most things go naturally. I can’t really plan like a pro. 

11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

Among my fav bands is the aforementioned Venom ofc. But also King Diamond, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Dark Funeral, Emperor, Hypocrisy, Krypt and a lot of bands from the Dutch black metal scene like Wederganger, Yaotzin, Sammath, Suttungr, Mortifer and many more. But I’m very diverse, walk into my house or join a twitch live stream and you hear many different genres and bands. From underground black and death metal to mainstream heavy metal bands like Judas Priest or Maiden… Hiphop music like N.W.A. and Wu-Tang Clan.. Reggae and a lot of metal bands the trve people would call poser bands like deathcore or nu-metal stuff. There are just many many sounds I enjoy a lot. If someone thinks I”m less ‘trve’ or ‘a real black metalhead’ doesn’t bother me, I can’t stop liking a certain sound hahah. 

12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

  Demonic  voices  and  chants  are  also  utilized  at  times  while  the  album  also  brings  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  The  album  also  has  its  experimental  moments  along  with  some  tracks  also  adding  in  elements  of  harsh  noise  and  death  industrial,  when  guitar  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  dark  yet  melodic  style  as  well  as  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  having  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

  On  this  recording  Domini  Inferni  takes  a  very  raw,  ritualistic  and  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  mixes  it  with  experimental,  harsh  noise  and  death  industrial  to  create  a  very  diverse  album.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism,  Devil  Worship.  Demonology  and  Anti  Christianity  themes.

Glades Of Gloom/Grim Seraphic Obsequies/2020 Demo Re-Issue Review

  Glades  Of  Gloom  where  a  band  from  Bulgaria  that  played  a  very  old  school  and  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  self  released  2000  demo  "Grim  Seraphic  Obsequies"  which  was  re-issued  in  2020.

  Ritualistic  soundscapes  start  off  the  demo  along  with  a  brief  use  of  chants  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction.  Dark  sounding  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  grim  sounding  black  metal  screams  and  the  music  is  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  second  wave  tradition.

  Synths  are  also  utilized  at  times  while  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  add  in  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  All  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  along  with  the  album  also  adding  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.

   When  spoken  words  are  utilized  they  also  enhance  the  ritualistic  nature  of  the  recording  as  well  as  some  touches  of  industrial  also  being  utilized  at  times,  whispered  vocals  and  growls  can  also  be  heard  briefly  and  one  track  also  adds  in  a  brief  use  of  folk  instruments  and  clean  playing.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyric's  cover  Satanism,  Occultism,  Anti  Christianity,  Blasphemy  and  Darkness  with  one  song  also  being  written  in  Bulgarian

  Dark  sounding  melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  Elements  of  death  metal  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  some  bestial  growls  also  being  used  briefly,  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  the  demo  also  closes  with  a  Profanatica  cover  which  also  adds  in  a  brief  use  of  guitar  leads.  

  Baphoemtic  Deathsluaght  plays  a  musical  style  that  takes  war,  black  and  death  metal  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own.  The  production  sounds  very  raw  and  old  school  while  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism,  Occultism  and  Blasphemy  themes.
