1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the solo project?
1. Skadin is a solo project founded in 2024 of melodic black metal and war themes
2.Recently you have released your first full length, can you tell us a little bit more about the musical style that you went for on the recording?
2. In my debut album I used everything from punk to electronic music, even folk with accordion, to make it something unique but still stay in the black metal line.
3.A lot of your lyrics cover Vald Tepes and the Carpathian region, can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in this topic?
3. My interest in this topic is greater than it seems because the album is based on the life of Vlad Tepes because since I was a little child I have been passionate about the Transylvania area, especially about the wars of Vlad Tepes.
4.What are some of the other lyrical topics and subjects you have explored so far with the music?
4. Honestly, I've always liked the lyrics of rock n roll ballads and I'm very passionate about the subject of occultism like in dissection or sacramentum.
5.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Skadin'?
5. Skadin came from the goddess Skadi from Norse mythology and I thought it would fit perfectly.
6.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the new album cover?
6. I wanted the artwork to be a Carpathian landscape representing the ghost of Vlad Tepes and his castle.
7.With this project you record most of the music by yourself, are you open to working with other musicians or do you prefer to work solo?
7. I always wanted skadin to be a full band, not just me, but I never found anyone with the same principles, but if I found people, I would 100% work with them.
8.A few months back you worked on a collaboration with 'Vathsath', how would you compare their style to the music you play?
8. My music is a little different than Vathsath's, they rely more on symphonic elements than guitar riffs.
9.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black metal?
9. Honestly, I've grown quite a bit in less than a year, I've seen that people from overseas like the idea of Skadin
10.Where do you see yourself heading into as a musician during the future?
10. To be honest, I really don't know, I would like to, but you never know.
11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
11. That's my favorite question, I think. The bands that influenced me the most were: Windir, Sacramentum, Dissection and for lyrics Negura Bunget. I also had influences from Misfits or Hellripper. Currently I listen to pretty much everything related to metal, I can't say I listen to just one genre of metal.
12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?
12. I would like to tell everyone not to give up on their passions and not to care what people say.
