Tselech/Oathless One/Elf Eggs/2024 Split EP Review

 

  This  is  a  review  of  a  split  ep  between  U.S.A's  Tselech  and  United  Kingdom's  Oathless  One  which  was  released  in  2024  by  Elf  Eggs  and  we  will  start  off  the  review  with  Tselech  who  returns  with  a  mixture  of  raw  black  metal  and  noise.

  His  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  some  spoken  word  samples  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  the  vocals  are  high  pitched  black  metal  screams.  Guitar  noises  are  also  utilized  at  times  along  with  all  of  the  music  being  improvised,  all  of  the  riffing  sticking  to  a  slower  direction  and  the  closing  track  also  adds  in  some  fast  drumming.  The  production  sounds  very  dark,  raw  and  lo-fi  and  the  lyrics  cover  death  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Tselech  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  black  metal  and  noise,  you  should  check  out  his  side  of  the  split.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "A  Glamour  Of  Nightfall".

  Next  up  is  Oathless  One  a  solo  project  that  plays  a  mixture  of  raw  black  metal  and  noise.

  His  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  a  very  dark  yet  distorted  sound  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams.  Melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

  Throughout  his  side  of  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  along  with  some  ambient  style  synths  also  being  added  into  the  music  at  times.  Guitar  orientated  noises  are  also  utilized  at  times  and  the  slower  sections  of  the  songs  also  mix  in  elements  of  sludge  and  doom  metal.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  dark  and  esoteric  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Oathless  One  is  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  raw  black  metal  and  noise  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  solo  project.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Infernal  Manifestation".

  In  conclusion  I  feel  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  split  and  I  would  recommend  it  to  all  fans  of  raw  black  metal  and  noise.  8  out  of  10.

Tselech/Bone Fragments And Mildew/Elf Eggsd/2024 Demo Review

 

  This  is  a  review  of  another  recording  from  U.S.A's  solo  project  Tselech  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  mixture  of  raw  black  metal  and  harsh  noise  and  the  demo  was  released  in  2024  by  Elf  Eggs  and  called  "Bone  Fragments  And  Mildew".

  A  very  distorted  sound  starts  off  the  demo  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams.  Most  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  short  in  length  along  with  some  of  the  riffing  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  melody  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

  Harsh  noises  are  also  added  into  certain  sections  of  the  recording  while  a  lot  of  the  music  also  sounds  very  improvised.  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  dark  style  along  with  a  couple  of  tracks  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  spoken  word  samples  and  most  of  the  songs  stick  to  either  a  slow  or  mid  tempo  direction.

  On  this  recording  Tselech  takes  a  slow  and  raw  style  of  black  metal  and  mixes  it  with  the  harsh  noise  elements  introduced  on  previous  releases  to  create  something  different.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Occultism,  Rituals  and  Darkness  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Tselech  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  black  metal  and  harsh  noise,  you  should  check  out  this  demo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Rotting  Through  Bone"  "Three  Hundred  And  Sixty  Fives  Heavens  of  Chaos"  "Headstone  Bile"  and  "Hair  Emerges  From  The  Mush  Under  The  black  Mark".  8  out  of  10.

Tselech/Cumbrous Flesh/Elf Eggs/2025 Demo Review

 

  This  is  a  review  of  another  recording  from  U.S.A's  Tselech  which  shows  the  music  going  for  a  mixture  of  raw  black  metal  and  noise  and  the  demo  was  released  in  2025  by  Elf  Eggs  and  called  "Cumbrous  Flesh".

  Harsh  noises  start  off  the  album  and  also  mixes  in  with  the  heavier  sections  of  the  songs  while  all  of  the  music  also  sounds  very  improvised.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  the  guitar  riffing  brings  in  more  of  a  non  traditional  style  and  the  music  also  captures  a  very  lo-fi  atmosphere.

  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  Spoken  word  samples  are  also  utilized  on  a  couple  of  tracks  along  with  some  of  the  riffing  also  adding  in  a  brief  use  of  melodies  and  the  closing  track  is  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  and  also  adds in  a  small  amounr  of  guitar  solos  and  leads.

  On  this  recording  Tselech  continues  the  expand  on  the  mixture  of  raw  black  metal  and  noise  that  he  introduced  on  his  previous  release.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  darkness,  death  and  blasphemy  themes.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Tselech  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  black  metal  and  noise,  you  should  check  out  this  demo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Bubbling  Blasphemic  Vassalage"  and  "A  Brief  And  Desolate  Hour  Ov  Lesser  Human  Debris".  8  out  of  10.

Tselech/Unknown Growth/Elf Eggs/2024 Demo Review

 

  Tselech  are  a  solo  project  from  the  United  States  that  plats  a  mixture  of  raw  black  metal  and  noise  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2024  demo  "Unknown  Growth"  which  was  released  by  Elf  Eggs.

  A  very  dark,  heavy  and  lo-fi  sound  starts  off  the  demo  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also  utilizes  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  elements  of  harsh  noise  are  also  mixed  in  with  the  heavier  sections  of  the  songs.

  Throughout  the  demo  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  a  lot  of  the  music  also  captures  an  improvised  atmosphere.  Field  recordings  can  also  be  heard  briefly  along  with  the  music  avoiding  the  use  of  any  melody,  solos  or  leads.

 Tselech  takes  a  very  raw  and  lo-fi  form  of  black  metal  and  mixes  it  with  noise  to  create  a  sound  of  his  own.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  darkness  and  death  themes.
