Muert/Svpremacist/Allied In Massacre/Iron, Blood & Death Corporation/2024 Split Album Review

 

  This  is  a  review  of  a  split  album  between  Spain's  Muert  and  Israel's  Svpremacist  called  "Allied  In  Massacre"  which  was  released  by  Iron,  Blood  &  Death  Corporation  and  we  will  start  off  the  review  with  Muert  a  band  that  has  had  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  very  raw  and  blasphemous  form  of  black  metal.

  Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  a  very  distorted  sound  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  angry  sounding  black  metal  screams.  Blast  beats  are  also  added  into  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  and  the  tremolo  picking  in t he  fast  riffing  also  gives  the  songs  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

  Melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  as  well  as  the  music  also  mixing  in  touches  of  death  metal  and  all  of  the  music  sticks  to  a  heavier  direction.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  Anti  Christianity,  Blasphemy.,  Dark  Chronicles  Of  Tenerife  and  Guanche  Mythology.

  In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Muert  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  and  blasphemous  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the  split.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Blasphemy  In  Lastenia".

  Nect  up  is  Svpremacist  a  band  that  plays  a  very  raw,  old  school  and  nihilistic  form  of  black  metal.

  Their  side  of  the  split  starts  out  with  a  very  fast  and  raw  sound  along  with  a  great  amount  of   tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Vocals  are  a  mixture  of  bestial  growls  and  black  metal  screams  along  with  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  lot  of  old  school  influences  and  the  solos  and  leads  are  also  done  in  a  very  chaotic  style.

  Elements  of  death  metal  can  also  be  heard  at  times  along  with  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  as  well  as  the  riffs  also  bringing  in  a  small  amount  of  melody  and  all  of  their  music  sticks  to  a  heavier  direction.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  religious  and  dogmatic  stupidity.

  In  my  opinion  Svpremacist  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw,  old  school  and  nihilistic  black  metal  band  an d if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  their  side  of  the  split.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Religious  Phantasm".

  In  conclusion  I  feel  this  is  a  very  great  sounding  split  and  I  would  recommend  it  to  all  fans  of  raw  and  old  school  black  metal.  8  out  of  10.

Muert/Mysteriorum Prophanations Sepulcralis/Bylec-Tum/2015 Cassette Re-issue Review

  Muert  are  a  band  from  Spain  that  plays  a  very  raw  and  blasphemous  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2012  album  "Mysteriorum Prophanations Sepulcralis"  which  will  be  re-issued  on  cassette  in  2015  by  Bylec-Tum.

  A  very distorted  and  demonic  sounding  intro  starts  off  the  album  along  with  some  elements  of  noise  and  after  the  intro  the  music  goes  for  more  of  a  black  metal  sound  along  with  some  dark  sounding  melodies  being  added  into  the  music  along  with  some  grim  sounding  and  high  pitched  screams  a  few  seconds  later.

  You  can  hear  a  good  amount  of  raw  aggression  in  the  music  along  with  some  blast  beats  and  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  all  of  the  songs  are  heavily  rooted  in  the  90's  black  metal  tradition  and  on  some  of  the  tracks  the  vocals  get  more  deeper  and  demonic  at  times  while  the  main  focus  remains  more on  a  black  metal  style  of  vocals  and  one  of  the  tracks  also  bring s in  a  small  amount  of  clean  playing  and  atmospheric  sounds  before returning  back  to  a  fast  and  raw  musical  direction.  

  Muert  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  raw  and  old  school  in  the  90's  tradition  and  avoids  all  modern  trends  to  create  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  pure  and  true,  the  production  sounds  very  dark,  raw  and  old  school  while  the  lyrics  cover  anti  christian,  occultism,  and  darkness  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Muert  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw  and  old  school  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Holocaust  In  The  Christian  Tombs"  "The  Hateful  Ritual"  and  "Storm  in  The  Cathedral  of  God".  8  out  of  10.
