1.Can you give us an update on what is going on with the band these days?

Right now, the alignment of the band has changed, he HAS RETURNED OUR original drummer, and prepare for new songs and record them


2.How would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recordings?

Our sound is composed of feelings we have when composing, we try to portray the dark, to our way of SEE

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band explores with the music?

We SPEAK ABOUT WAR dark things we think, and feel, express our hatred for Christianity and its doctrines derived

4.Originally the band was known as 'Golgotha', what was the decision behind the name change and also the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Milicia Oscura'?

NAME CHANGE IS BECAUSE I discovered that there are more groups that name (GOLGOTHA) AND CHRISTIANS ARE HIGH OR WHITE METAL, which I upset and decided to use a name, taking it from the title of a OUR SONG ( MILICIA OSCURA)

5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played over the years and also how would you describe your stage performance?

I remember most EVENTS AT THIS TIME SHARES HAVE BEEN IN MY CITY IN CONCERT WITH BANDS LIKE:
PHOBIA, EXHAUSTED PRAYER, TRANSMETAL, VITAL REMAINS, SADISTIC INTENT, PATHOLOGY, ROTTENNESS, Antebellum ....... AND ALSO HAVE MANY LOCAL EVENTS HEADER ..

6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?

MAYBE BECAUSE finish recording the studio album .... And CONTACT RESPONSIBLE promoters.


7.The live album was released on MTD Production', can you tell us a little bit more about this label?

This album, LIVE, we recorded here in Tijuana, B. C, MEXICO,
The idea came at the invitation of a friend, WHO IS OWNER OF PRODUCTION MTD, who lives in Malaysia, ESA production was very limited edition, and I'm very grateful for that ...

8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black metal?


We think it has been good, but still needs to be done


9.When can we expect new music and also where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

Hopefully, the new (new songs, and more mature, full sound) SOON BE A HALF OF 2016, THE RIGHT IS BELIEVED TO START FOR OUR COUNTRY, AND IF THERE SOMEDAY opportunity, perhaps WORLDWIDE


10.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

SO MANY BANDS ARE ..... MY FAVORITE, DARKTHRONE, MAYHEM, GORGOROTH, INQUISITION to name the best known

11.How would you describe your views on Satanism and Occultism?

I personally
(GESTHAS) believe that godliness is a means of domination MASSIVE, I idolized NO NO GOD, I BELIEVE IN A PERSONAL AND SATAN philosophical level ..... everything is within oneself.

Milicia Oscura/Anti-Christo/Satanath Records/2013 CD Review

  Milicia  Oscura  are  a  band  from  Mexico  that  plays  a  very  raw  and  blasphemous  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2013  album  "Anti-Christo"  which  was  released  by Satanath  Records.

 Sytnhs  and  ritualistic  sounds  start off  the  album  and  after  a  few  seconds  the  music  starts  getting  more  dark  and  heavy  along  with  some  black  metal  screams  and  demonic  growls  and  when  the  music  speeds  up  it  brings  in  more  of  a  90's  influenced  raw  second  wave  style  along  with  some  blast  beats  being  utilized.

  Throughout  the  recording  there  is  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  and  the  solos  and  leads  are  very  dark  and  melodic  while  classical  guitars  along  with  a  small  amount  of  clean  playing  can also  be  heard  in  certain  sections  of  the  recording  and  a  great  portion  of the  tracks  are  very  long  and  epic  in  length  and  synths  also  return  in  certain  sections of  the  recording  along  with  all  of  the  musical  instruments  having a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  while  a  later  track  brings  in  a  brief  use  of  melodic  chants  which  also gives  the  music  more  of  an  occult  atmosphere.

  Milicia  Oscura  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  raw,  old  school  and  blasphemous  sounding  and  also  has  a  90's  occult  atmosphere  at  times  and  also  avoids  sounding  modern,  the  production  sounds  very  dark,  raw  and  old  school  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Spanish  and  cover  darkness,  blasphemy  and  anti  christian  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Milicia  Oscura  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw,  and  blasphemous,  old  school  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Eterna  Crucifixion"  "Christo  Murio"  "El  Despertar  Del  Demono"  and  "El Anticristo".  8  out  of  10.
