Skadin/Wallachian Emperor/LOud Rage Music/2026 Full Length Review

  Skadin  are  a  solo  project  from  Romanian  that  plays  a  very  melodic  form  of  black  metal  with  elements  of  punk,  electronic  and  folk  music  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2026  album  "Wallachian  Emperor"  which  will  was  released  by  Loud  Rage  music.

  A  very  dark  and  heavy  sound  starts  off  the  ep  along  with  some  synths  a  few  seconds  later  which  also  adds  in  elements  of  electronic  music.  Vocals  are  mostly  grim  black  metal  screams  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  a  decent  amount  of  melody  and  the  recording  also  captures  the  raw  energy   of  punk  rock.

  When  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  melodic  style  while  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  add  in a   great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.  Throughout  the  album  you  can  also  hear  a  good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.

  Clear  vocals  also  being  used  briefly  along  with  one  song  also  adding  in  a  brief  use  of  folk  instruments  and  a  a  couple  of  tracks  also  introduces  clean  playing  onto  the  album.  as  well  as  the  music  also  adding  in  a  lot  of  old  school  touches,  spoken  words  are  also  used  briefly.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  war,  paganism  and  darkness  themes. 

  In  my  opinion  Skadin  are  a  very  great  sounding  melodic  black  metal  solo  project  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Infernal  War"  and  "Void  Draculea".  8 out  of  10.
