This is a review of another recording from Greece's solo project Dskrtn which shows the music going for a mixture of warnoise, power electronics and this is a review of his 2025 album "Cyber-Cataclysm of Nuclear Typhoeus and Entropy Beyond The Flesh Codex"" which was released by Beserk Ritual Productions.
Harsh noises and power electronics and spoken word samples start off the album before going into a very fast, raw and brutal war metal direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast b eats. Vocals are a mixture of bestial growls and black metal screams and all of the musical instruments sounds very powerful.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the solos and leads are also done in a very chaotic style. Most of the recording avoids the use of melody to focusing more of an a heavier musical direction and the harsh noise elements also bring in more of an apocalyptic atmosphere.
On this recording Dskrtn continues the mixture of war, bestial black/death metal, power electronics and harsh noise which he introduced on the previous release. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Occultism, Mythology, War, Chaos and Violence themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Sskrtn and if you are a fan of war metal and warnoise, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Drakonian Opium Murder" and "Military Occult Doctrine". 8 out of 10.
