Dskrtn are a solo project from Greece that plays a mixture of warnoise, power electronics and war metal and this is a review of his 2025 demo "Astral Ophic Ascension" which was released by Beserk Ritual Productions.
A very distorted sound starts off the demo along with some harsh noises and power electronics before going into a heavier direction. When the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking, war metal elements and brutal blast beats can be heard which also gives the recording more of a raw feeling.
Vocals are a mixture of black metal screams and bestial growls while the bass guitar also sounds very powerful. Throughout the demo you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the solos and leads also adding in a very chaotic style.
Dskrtn plays a musical style that takes war, bestial black/death metal, harsh noise and power electronics and mixes them together to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Occultism, Greek Mythology, Murder and Violence themes.
In my opinion Dskrtn is a very great sounding mixture of warnoise, power electronics and war metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this solo project. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Drakonian Opium Murder". 8 out of 10.
