Temple Of Decay/Profanus/Old Temple/2026 Full Length Review

Poland's  solo  project  Temple  of  Decay  has  returned  with  a  new  recording  which  shows  the  music  going  for  an  old  school  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2026  album  "Profanus"  which  was  released  by  Old  Temple.

War  samples  start  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  the  vocals  also  add  in  a  lot  of  high  pitched  black  metal  screams.  Some  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  along  with  some  melodies  also  being  added  into  the  guitar  riffing  at  times  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

When  the  music  speeds  up  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast b eats  can  be  heard  which  also  gives  the  recording  more  of  a  raw  feeling,.  Spoken  words  can  also  be  heard  on  a  few  tracks  along  with  the  music  also  being  very  heavily  rooted  in  the  old  school  era  of  the  genre,  synths  are  also  introduced  on  one  song

The  album  also  adds  in  a  great  amount  of  death  metal  elements  as  well  as  adding  in  a  few  growls  and  a  couple  of  songs  also  brings  in  a  small  amount  of  Gregorian  chants  and  clear  singing..  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Polish  and  cover  Anti  Religion,  Blasphemy  and  Death  themes.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  album  from  Temple  Of  Decay  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  black  and  death  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  recording.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Chwalmy  śmierć (Hail  To  Death)"  and  "Miłosierdzie".  8  out  ofr  10.

Temple Of Decay/Rigor Mortis/Godz Of War Productions/Black Death Productions/2022 CD Review

Temple  Of  Decay  are  a  solo  project  from  Poland  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  and  plays  a  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of t heir  2022  album  "Rigor  Mortis"  which  will  be  released  on  April  22nd  as  a  joint  effort  between  Godz  Ov War  and  Black  Death  Productions.

A  very  dark  yet  heavy  sound  starts  off  the  album  while  the  vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams.  Melodies  are  also  added  into  some  of  the  guitar  riffing  along  with  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  adding  in  a  decent  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

All  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  The  songs  also  add  in  a  great  amount  of  death  metal  elements  along  the  solos  and  leads  also  being  done  in  a  very  melodic  style  as  well  as  some  shouts  and  growls  also  being  utilized  at  times,  spoken  word  parts  can  also  be  heard  briefly,  the  whole  album  also  sticks  to  a  heavier  direction  and  the  recording  closes  with  Venom"s  "Leave  Me  In  Hell".

On  this  recording  Temple  of  Decay  remains  true  to  the  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  that  he  has  established  on h is  previous  release.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  Misanthropy,  Darkness  and  Anti  Religion  themes.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Temple  Of  Decay  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  black  and  death  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Destructive  Symphony  Of  Chaos"  "The  Cacophony  Of  Death"  and  "Zemsta".  8  out  of  10.

Temple Of Decay Interview

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the musical project ?

There is really not much to say about it. One man band project where of course , I am responsible for everything hahaha.

Besides it's something that I have always wanted to do, but of course fucking life bla bla bla.

2.Recently you have released your first ep, can you tell us a little bit more about the musical style you went for on for the recording ?

For sure is not 100% Black Metal .Definitely you can hear some Death, Thrash influences...generally I would say Extreme Pure Fucking Metal.

3.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects you have explored so far with your music?

It's difficult for me to talk about my lyrics. For sure they are part of me and my visions of certain things .I will be not be saying here... I leave them for the listeners own interpretation and for sure they don't glorify any Sick Slave Fairy Tales.

4.You also write lyrics in both English and Polish, which language do you prefer?

Both languages allow you to express yourself in a different way. Personally I think polish sounds more aggressive than english for example KURWA in my

performance sounds more convincingly than FUCK haha. More seriously both are OK. and both are needed.

5.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name Temple of Decay?

Of Course Mighty Marduk .I don't see any point saying more about it. Absolutely Masterpiece lyrically and musically.

6.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the ep cover.

The entire cover (artwork, layouts) was made by Mentalporn .Quras's idea perfectly reflects music and lyrics contained

on the Ep. The total End of everything....

7.With this project you recorded everything by yourself, are you open to working with other musicians or do you prefer to work solo?

Yes of course. If  I will find more time and right people, why not. Although in my case the family and a lot of activities related to it (work and shit like that) did not allow me to do it. Everything has pros and cons. Once again fucking life.haha

8.The ep was released through both Wolfmond and Black Death Production, do you feel both of these labels have been very helpful when it comes to getting your music out there heard?

Yes. They definitely do enough for me. Especially they are small Labels and you can see that they do it with passion and for passion.

9.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black and death metal?

  I am positively surprised.

10.When can we expect a full length and also where do you see yourself heading into as musician during the future?

Am not sur it's gonna be full length or another ep (prefer less) but 2021 definitely. Time will tell the truth.

11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays ?

Because I am not young anymore of course Old School 80-90 Death, Black, Thrash inspires me a lot and many bands like Bathory, Venom, Deicide

Marduk, Kreator... Nowadays I listen to a lot of different music (except techno, reggae and shit like that) I generally respect the music that has a message. Last album Ulcerate. Stare Into Death... and New Model Army. From here... are my favourites in last couple weeks.

12.Does Satanism or Occultism play any role in your music?

I am a free man. I am  the Devil.

13.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

Thank you for your time! Destroy the human stupidity !
