Morte Incandescente/Vala Comum/Signal Rex/2021 CD Review

Morte  Incandescente  are  a  band  from  Portugal  that  has  had  music  reviewed  before  in  this  zine  and  on  this  recording  plays  a  very  raw  and  old  school  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2021  album  "Vale  Comum"  which  will  be  released  on  Halloween  by  Signal  Rex.

A  very  fast  and  raw  sound  starts  off  the  album  along  with  a  great  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  the  music  also  adds  in  a  great  amount  of  90's  influences  and  all  of  the  musical  instruments  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.

Angry  shouts  and  growls  can  also  be  heard  at  times  while  the  songs  also  add  in  a  decent  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  Clean  vocals  can  also  be  heard  briefly  along  with  the  riffs  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  melody  as  well  as  a  brief  use  of  whispers  being  added  on  a  couple  of  the  tracks.

An  interlude  also  adds  in  a  small  amount  of  horror  movie  style  synths  before  returning  back  to  a  heavier  direction  and  as  the  album  progresses  touches  of  first  wave  black  metal  can  also  be  heard  as  well  as  the guitar  solos  and  leads  are  remaining   true  to  an  old  school  style  when  they  are  utilized.  The  production  sounds  very  raw  and  old  school  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Portuguese  and  cover  suicide,  death  and  morbid  themes.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Morte  Incandescente  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  raw  and  old  school  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Anula-Le"  "O  Uivo  da  Noite"  and  "Planeta  Parisita".  8  out  of  10.

Morte Incandescente/Somos o Fogo do teu Inferno/War Arts Productions/2018 Demo Review

Morte  Incandescente  are  a  duo from  Portugal  that  plays  a  very  cruel,  harsh  and  melancholic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2018  demo  "Somos  o  Fogo  do  teu  Inferno"  which  will  be  released  on  cassette  in  September  by  War  Arts  Productions.

Distorted  amp  noise  starts  off  the  demo  before  adding  some  clean  playing  onto  the  recording  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  while  the  vocals  are  very  demented  sounding  black  metal  screams  while  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  use  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  and  tremolo  picking  which  also  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling.

Throughout  the  recording  you  can  also  hear  a  great  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts  while  the  riffs  also  add  in  some  dark  sounding  melodies  along  with  the  music  also  having  a  great  amount  of  90's  influences  but  sounding  modern  at  the  same  time  as  well  as  the  music  also  having  its  depressive  moments  as  well  as  all  of  the  musical  instruments  having  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them and  when  guitar  leads  are  utilized  they  are  done  in  a  very  raw  and  melodic  style.

Morte  Incandescente  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  cruel,  harsh  and  melancholic  sounding,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  are  written  in  Portuguese  and  cover  suicide,  death  and  morbid  themes.

In  my  opinion  Morte  Incandescente  are  a  very  great  sounding  cruel,  harsh  and  melancholic  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  demo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Penumbra  da  Realidade"  and  "Cancao  do  caixoa".  8  out  of  10.
